Logging a ton of minutes at the major junior level playing for the London Knights. Deployed in all situations. His offense has taken off. Now on track for over 30 goals. As of Feb 10th he had scored 21G-36A 15G on the PP - also a (+16) defensively.
Showing more and more confidence one timing pucks from distance and beating goalies clean.
2-way NHL defender on the horizon.
Grade 'A' prospect who continues to improve in all areas.
Big - strong - solid skater - taking much better 'routes' defending in his zone and winning battles. Three zone detail is reliable.

Bonk was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the first round (22nd) at the 2023 entry draft in Nashville.
He's the kind of defenceman who can be thrust into a variety of roles.
Bonk has good size. He's engaged in the defensive zone. He can escape pressure and skate pucks up ice on his own occasionally - or join the rush as an extra layer.
He has an undervalued shot from range and has proven he can score on the power-play.
Best described as a 2-way 'D' who provides better than secondary offense.
There are times he overplays his route in the defensive zone and opponents slide off him down the boards. Something he will need to adjust to on the big ice at the WJC.

At the junior level Oliver is deployed in key defensive zone scenarios / match-ups
The bulk of his ice time comes at ES and PK. He does have a role on the second unit PP with the London Knights.
Stats suggest he leans distributor more than shooter, but he has a a good release / heavy shot that can beat goalies from range.
Decent agility walking the offensive blue line. Outlet accuracy ranges at times. When things break down in his zone he has loads of secondary compete. Bodies up / hard to escape from.

Right shot 'D' who leans 2-way 'middle pairing' on projection
Competes - plays a sturdy game - pushes back - has an edge to his game at times - doesn't shy away from confrontation
Ability to be used in all situations but his ceiling offensively is likely secondary offense at best
Gets in the lane on the PK - fronts the play
Capable with the puck - outlets responsibly - not likely to score a lot at the NHL level / mid-range secondary scoring is possible.

2-way defender who does not project to run a first unit NHL power-play but can match up against top opponents and provide some push back physically

Skating is sound on straight lines - Quicker decisions required - at times - with the puck on his stick - Significant upside overall - potential to be used in variety of roles is a bonus
