Elevated role in Boston to start the (23/24) season. A 2F who will slot into 1F this season due to retirements of Krecji and Bergeron.
To start the season he is being used in all situations, averaging 17:45 TOI. Coming off a season in (22/23) that he provided a second layer of offense.
Brings combination of size, skill and solid pace. Can push the play through the neutral zone and make plays off the rush. Considering his role on the PK it's important for him to win face-offs in the defensive zone and use his long reach / big frame to get in shooting lanes to disrupt the play / block shots.

AVG TOI (16:56) Being used primarily at ES and on the PP. His role in NJ ranges. Some nights he does see time on the PK. Averaging (0.76) ppg.
On the PP he leads zone entries via neutral zone drop pass. Once in the offensive zone he is most comfortable on the right flank as a shooter / distributor.
Big body. Skates very well. Not a heavy player. Active stick more than physical contact. Opponents have to respect his speed through the neutral zone. His off the puck detail and read/reacts in his zone have room for improvement. He can leave you wanting some nights.
