Jets Blow it up
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AceCane</b></div><div>Canes most likely take that deal tbh pretty fair from what i see.
You could prob get 2023 1st instead of 2024 first from Detroit and a 2024 or 2025 2nd imo given what Jets are giving up.
All the trades look pretty decent to me ngl, prob change Drury to Suzuki tho for the Canes. Year younger and just as high of a player ceiling. Canes in their situation just need nhl ready guys where i see Suzuki needing 1 more year before being brought up to the league, But im getting from this as a 2-4 year fast track rebuild so to benefit you more prob want the younger prospect</div></div>
I would prefer Drury over Suzuki just cause I think he's a bit better and also you nailed it, less down years. I left Morrow and Necas alone for that reason.
As for the Detroit trade I don't think Detroit is in a position to trade a first round pick next draft, I also grabbed some underrated really good young players from them. I'm not opposed to adding a 2025 2nd from them either. Also I am a little biased as I'm a Wings fan.
Thanks for your input.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AceCane</b></div><div>If your really trying to blow the team up and get the most value in the Vegas trade id take away the 1st rd pick-Thompson-Hague;
And instead:
Vegas gets-Hellebuyck-2023 1st rd pick (Jets) 2024 2nd rd pick (Penguins)
Winnipeg gets-Cormier-Brisson
And for New Jersey trade i only think you get one of the players wether it be Holtz or Bratt alongside with the 2024 1st rd pick
And idk if you noticed but you traded Hornquist twice</div></div>
Acquired him and flipped him

I would prefer Drury I think he's the better player. It's also part of the reason I didn't go for Morrow and Necas. I also know Jarvis is a non starter.

That’s true, maybe I’m being a bit too harsh. It’s just that I think that the majority of people should know how good that line is considering they were our only highlight of last year (minus Oettinger’s magnificent performance).
And your other statement is also true, Stars probably lost money due to Covid and Gaglardi wants to make it up ASAP.

So basically making them worse on purpose? Nill would lose his job, it’s clear to him that his only goal should be to make the playoffs (to generate playoff income to our owner, because he only cares about the money).

im not a stars fan so i do not know which line exactly youre talking about, unless you mean having milano on the top line in which case its pretty well known that robby can score like its nobodys business and milano had the second highest passes leading to high danger shots/60 last year. in other words robby is the firework and milano is going to be his match. i dont know much about hintz other than that i believe he is a solid complete player sort of a jack of all trades and solid at them all but milano's specific passing expertise is what gets him that spot. i know that hintz will porbably be able to preform on another line but milano will struggle without robertson's goal scoring

the compensation of the contract i offered him is only the Dallas' current second, no first or third involved

Is this team a cup contender Ignore trades
Couple of things. The bottom 6 seems relatively weak outside of Norris. Steel, Drouin, and Milano aren't very good defensively along with Hoglander still trying to put it together. Hawlyruk is basically a replacement level player so relying on him as a fulltime player is also risky.
Where is Formenton? He's not on the roster or involved in any trades.
Relying on a rookie to be a top 4 Dman right out of the gate can also be risky. If he struggles you're looking at Brannstrom in your top 4 which probably isn't ideal. Also who takes the heavy defensive minutes? Losing Zub might hurt in that department especially on the PK.
Lastly, Yandle.... if someone gets injured and Yandle is playing minutes you may as well roll with 5 Dmen with how badly he played last season.
I think this would be a playoff team, but I don't know that they would beat teams like Tampa or Carolina to contend for a cup.
Getting rid of the trade for Keller and using that money to have Pinto and Formenton in your bottom 6 would probably make some more sense. Hamonic would also be a better option for the 7th Dman than Yandle.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juiceman</b></div><div>You can just use the NHL template so you can get whoever you want onto your roster without making any trades</div></div>
The point is that this is the Ottawa Senators even with some new players. It would look like some random team with the nhl template. Plus that would probably take longer because he’d have to add every player and create the free agent players he signed.
I see your point but you seem so against this idea it’s kind of weird.

Why should I even argue against what you said. The creator said ignore the value of the trades. He is just being hypothetical saying would if they had these players and this lineup.
