Thread: Keep
Im Torn
Hoglander isnt a bad Goal Scorer who skates decent enough and isnt afraid to play along the boards.
He's a nice addition in the right situation but i dont think MTL in its current state fits
With 2/4 Centers pending UFA's we dont intend to sign again and 1/4 injured like 100 games out of a possible 164
Its really tough for MTL to acquire another Winger unless he's got enough Star Power to lead 2nd line undisputed.
I just dont think Hoglander is that guy to Lead like we'd need cause Kapanen , Beck, Mesar and Florian are all playing in either Laval or MTL next season
Thats to go with Kindey ,Davidson and Gignac who's already here in Laval so we'll be relying heavily on youth to fill those voids at Center
Until we know who's taking on that role its a crapshoot.

Really Kakko is the ideal choice with Kapanen playing so well tied for 3rd in World Championship scoring at a 53% faceoff win rate for top 20 against some future HOF NHLers he's shown us a lot. He also had a really good season in Liiga as a 200ft player which is where he differ's from the rest of our Center hopeful's as Kapanen has made team Finland on all possible levels each year even before the offense started coming in to his Pro level game. Why? Defensively sound and a solid Faceoff Center regardless of What Pro you put him accross from.

Hoglanders style isnt really providing him anything that he would already bring to the table.

All that said Hoglander is an ideal fit for VGK who will be losing Marchessault for sure IMO
Hoglanders contract for a 2nd makes him a cheap rental who can put up 20 goals and will likely re-sign if asked.
It also gives them flexibility to improve depth more and all for a 2nd? i think they'll bite

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>No, thanks. DuBois will continue to score twice as many points as Anderson for the balance of Anderson's career. Moreover, DuBois still has an upside; Anderson is declining and even if he has a slight rebound from this past season, you'll be lucky to get 30 points from him. The only way that the Kings will start winning playoff rounds is if DuBois starts realizing his promise.</div></div>

Wont Happen
2 teams bet on PLD doing just that, he never did.
I'd rather Anderson as his deals up quicker basically.
I didnt want PLD when he was in WPG and dont now .

Turcotte or Kaliyev on the other hand i'd be willing to take a flyer on.
Not in an Anderson or PLD deal but something a little less long term with strings and more versitility.

PLD&gt;Anderson im not gonna pretend otherwise
But at the end of the day i'd rather Anderson for 1 simple reason , he's a team first guy who will sacrifice without complaint.
He doesnt make excuses or ask for trades when things get tough. He digs and tries his hardest and i respect that.

I think if MTL and LAK could get a deal done for pieces ill call not core for lack of better terms
Then the CBJ trade isnt needed really as i think Kaliyev would be a good fit here in MTL personally
Turcotte is more of a Win Win no matter what. If he uses his Chemistry with Caufield to rise, Great!
If he spends his time in the AHL leading MTL's farm team like his Dad did back in the 80's Great!
Without Alfie Turcotte we wouldnt have had the rookie Depth to win that 1986 cup that was basically all youth

Doing a deal for both would be ideal
It'd fix what we need and give us a chance to off load a LD to give another LD a chance to rise.
We also got too many Centers turning pro in Laval at the same time with Florian Xhekaj joining Laval a year earlier then expected its tight down there already
Kappanen is tied for 3rd in goals for the World cup and has a 53% win rate and hid Coach in Finland doesnt expect him to return home to play another season in Liiga.
We gotta make room as Beck's coming off his 2nd straight memorial cup looking to win the title this time around in his final run in Junior
Not to forget about Mesar ,Davidson or Guindon among others.

To many Centers on the same timeline for Development and we need a more mature Center to play in that gap between.
Turcotte fits that bill pretty well and Beck gives LAK a ELC Center they can develop in his place.
add picks to balance out the exchange of 2 prospects and everyone wins

Thread: utah yeti
McBain and Utah's 2nd round pick this year for WPG's 26th OA this year and MTL's 5th round pick next year.
Take Dvorak's final year back and ill throw in and ill add Barron or Kovacevic and upgrade that 5th to a 2nd round pick

Utah swaps out 4th line Centers , get better faceoff wins if nothing else but loses physicality to do it
Have him play Dvorak's Wing with Doan and have Hayton learn then take over the Center role full time
Evans only got better as a Faceoff Center since Dvo arrived and its the one single solitary positive about him being on the ice.
55% Faceoff win rate and with the current roster only Duchene can say he's as high or higher.
He's still a cap dump in his final year but he's a good 4th line faceoff center option who might help 1/4 Utah Centers get a Win Rate above 50% this year
Utah can sell him at the trade deadline if they show he's a good 4th line Center for Bulk Faceoffs similar to how Matt Cullen finished his career taking 2nd most on the team with 4th line minutes

Come TDL you'll have Dvo to move and Hayton proving he can be a reliable faceoff guy so he can provide something others dont on another team then work his way up .
If Hayton can maintain a 52% win rate and hit 350-500 by the TDL then i could see teams willing to invest in the 6'1 207lb Center
A cap strapped team will see him as a good gamble if they are shown there is something to build on

Plus Utah's GM gets the chance to profit off Dvorak twice
Why McBain? Hughes was runner up to sign McBain who's the perfect Power Center for MTL to skate beside Slafkovsky and Dach
That said Slaf is on top line now but Dach could still use that boost and our team could use the Physicality he brings

I know a late 1st compared to a CBJ 1st isnt quite what you'd want
But its a deep draft and its still a good pick plus Utah can use it and its numerous 2nd rounders to trade up if thats their desire and get more immediate impact.
If you take Dvorak then you'll be getting a 1st and 2nd so if you trade up it will cover the majority of the cost while acquiring you a similar pick that you were shooting for.
If you get lucky with Dvorak and shop him at the TDL it could recover a decent chunk of the remaining cost to trade up while leaving Hayton still in play hopefully rebounding

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Renegade_H</b></div><div>Most of Flyers fanbase understands this and kinda wanted him to progress more in KHL, but hes not getting played in SKA soooooo its time to bring him over and teach him a bit ourselves for 1-2 years. Having Torts do that is a nightmare, but what choice do we have...</div></div>

He was getting played, just not on a contending team for 1 reason, he doesnt listen.
He does what he knows how to at a high level and thats create offense.
But outside that he has no interest in getting better Defensively or learning the Penalty kill or Learning how to improve his skating
You'd need a big swinging D**k Russian to Humble him , someone he respects as a Pro in the Top league for many years such as an Orlov or Romanov makes sense.
But truth be told there's few Russians who have a good reputation as Team guys or Team leaders who are people i'd consider available.
I mean there are a lot from Ovi to Malkin to Kaprizov ,ext but none are available or cheap to acquire

I'd think Romanov and Orlov would be the easiest routes.
Koenechy in a Romanov exchange with lets say Desnoyers and Tysplakov with a appropriate middling picks for balance.
PHI gets a Russian who's settled , who Lays the BOOM! playing that PHI style hockey to help 25 year old Tysplakov and 21 year old Michkov transition
I mean who will be on the ice more to help them then Romanov regardless of what line they're on and he's a 3rd Generation Russian Legacy Player who trained with his Grandfathers AK Barz team since he was a child. Dude's mature beyond his years and if i couldnt have Orlov or any of the other big name Russian Leaders then i gotta go with the Consistently Steady Shut Down Hitter on the blue line Alex Romanov as they guy to help make Michkov ROY

Now maybe my Trades too rich for your blood , its a bit rich for mine.
But given what NYI gave up to get Romanov its foolish to not expect to pay
Thats why Tsyplakov was added as despite just signing to NYI i think if you told him that he &amp; Romanov were going to play with Michkov and Fedetov he'd do back flips.

You want Reliability cause these next few years with Michkov are Crucial
If Romanov's laying the Boom with all eyes on him as teams get irate at his Clean Hits
This creates a ton of space for Michkov at a time he'll need it most to grow into his role at this level given his KHL Tenure.
Lets remember a KHL top 5 team had the #1 pick and said he wasnt good enough 2 straight years then loaned him to a team challenging him to prove them wrong.(he didnt). So Michkov needs a foot in the ass and i think Romanov can do that also at this stage in his career.(but i'd still rather Orlov he's got a good reputation)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>littlejerryseinfeld</b></div><div>Or just pay reinhart and don't do that other stuff</div></div>

I mean why Skinner yourself into a bad position?
Reinhart , Huberdeau, Trochek, Smith, Marchesault , ext are all replaceable

Granted this is a bad trade 100%
But CAR is looking to move Kotkanemi , LAK is looking to move PLD, TML is looking to move Marner,
I mean DAL has Benn then Seguins contracts coming up sooner then last , same with Kopitar and many other Vet's worth targeting if they take the youth approach.

But they also didnt find Carter Verhaeghe by taking the road most traveled. IMO FLA is already looking at Isaac Lundestrom, Rasmus Kupari , Alex Turcotte, Marco Rossi and players like that who like Carter or Frank Vatrano or Mason Marchment , ext are found either.

FLA has their style , its very unique.
Pay the Top 2 Forwards and #1 D bank to lead so you can pay the best Goalie in the league the most to be #1 when it counts.(and he is as losses rarely are Bobo's fault come playoffs). They learned from TBL after years of trying to find balance overpaying anyone to play for them just to sell tickets. Then they invested in a core 3 + a Goalie but when that Core 3 failed too often 1/3 was traded away with valuable pieces to upgrade that position to a True Playoff Competitor at the highest levels.TBL had Kuch-Stammer and Hedman then everyone else taking similar middling deals with Contract protection and shorter term to stay on the team building a Multi Cup winning team. FLA has done the same and has seen a similar rise in Conference and league Finals since.

Its much more likely they take advantage of Utah's Owner having far difference expectations of his new team then ARZ's Owners acceptance of a never ending rebuild.
Utah is looking to make a splash early and that has a domino effect that will change the landscape possibly in FLA favor depending how early Utah makes a splash.
IF they go hunting at the draft with all these picks used to Weaponize their Roster like VGK did , then year anything is possible including a world where someone unexpected becomes expendable and FLA has the chance to grab them, like lets say Johnny Gaudreau on the cheap if new management brings in new assets that Utah or other teams are moving.

The next month is going to be exciting as the playoffs will impact a lot of jobs and there for create opportunity like it does every year for Kent Hughes, just bigger this time

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GuyGuyGuy</b></div><div>On the contrary, I think it takes into account the need for each team.
Chicago gets a winger for Bedard
Anaheim the RD they want
Columbus and Silayev have been linked multiple times
Lindstrom is the logical pick for Montreal
Utah gets a big forward, and the son of a hockey legend to market their new team
Ottawa gets a RD
Seattle goes BPA
Calgary goes BPA too
New Jersey gets a sniper with high risk high reward (unless they trade the pick for a goalie)
Buffalo gets a RD
Philly goes BPA (could also be Sennecke)
Minny goes for a big forward to shield Rossi and Kaprisov
San Jose goes BPA
Wings goes BPA and Yzerman type guy</div></div>

This whole thing is a BS smokescreen cauyse you want Lindstrom for MTL , and i get it as i do as well.
It aint gonna happen as in no context does a Russian in this political climate under Contract with the KHL have a top 3 pick wasted on him.
A Belarussian with no contract already here and top 3 in the USA's system as a Rookie , sure but a Russian? Nope.

I've seen some dang good Russians fall in the Draft cause they're Russian and Contracted , Even Michkov who before the ban on Russians beat Bedard head to head at the WJC. He was a legit threat to be the first Russian really since what Ovi,Malkin and Yakipuv to go top 3 in a Draft since 2000? O wait Kovalchuk too but yeah VERY VERY RARE a Russian goes top 3. Even more rare they do they choose someone Nail Yakupuvs size top 3 and for good reason as 3/4 that became iconic really were all over 6ft and closer to or over 200lbs.

I listen to Other Teams Fans
CHI has Wingers and can sign Wingers is all you ever here if you try trading them a winger.
While LD have developed for CHI RD have not hence signing Jones which backfired

You see a Fix is needed or a hole
But you dont look at the team in Context ,not the way Fans do
You dont see who is going to be there short and long term
Therefore you cant see the Priority of whats needed and where.

Demidov is still good , but not on Mickov's level hence them refusing to let them play head to head in the same league.
Instead someone bigger and apparently more skilled then Michkov has been sheltered unlike Silayev or Levshunov who as Dmen at 17 were further along developmentally ready for the next step along with Chernyskov who started in Russian Junior and did so well that about 2 weeks after Demidov was demoted from KHL to their AHL to their Junior leagues, that Chernyskov was on the rise to the KHL and eventually deep into the playoffs as a 17 year old rookie.

Demidov's a Great Gamble at 6th-10th OA but that'd be it for the 3rd best russian/belarussian this draft
But no one's risking a top 3 pick on Demidov given he started in the KHL and only Declined while 35 other 17 year old did fine for the most part in the KHL with more making an impact at their version of the AHL rather then being demoted from both like Demidov which is not common. Usually if you're that young and cant hack it in the KHL its back to Junior not a test run in the VHL, its weird. Factor in he's Contracted to the KHL which guarantee's a drop as all Russians who are contracted do as a rule in the NHL without exceptions in 20 years and even Nail Yakupuv refused to re-sign before the draft to ensure it didnt hamper his chances at 1st OA which he was Egotistically driven to reach.

So Demidov going top 3 is one of those 'only ever been bad ' situation for the team that takes him.
TBH half of all Russians taken top 10 dont hack it in the NHL and return to the KHL gladly largely cause people dont realize that Russian and Canadian Junior go through Cycles. While we build up our players for NHL Markets or bust basically, the Russians promote everything as natural Progression where NHL shots are earned usually through play internationally for them. Taking away their right to play defies why the Olympics had these events to begin with to unite people in times of chaos and show them how much we share in common rather then focus on the divide. Its had a serious effect on Russians ability to produce Next Level Players by 18 like with Kovlachuk,Malkin , Ovi ,ext. They need until they're 22-24 in many cases now to develop ito true studs depending on how early they come to USA/Canada to train that timeline can be expedited but 18 and 19 year old Russian Phenom days are long past gone due to Russians instability at home and ongoing wars. WOKE police are crushing Democracy by Targeting countries like Russian, Belarus and others, its a slippery slope.

Personally i like Levushunov but the guys who's usually closest to right on top 10's years in Bob Mckenzie is saying that despite Silayevs horrible finish to the year where his lack of Conditioning showed that at 6'7 as a Lefty who plays RD, that CHI is willing to wait and invest in him hoping he's a Chara or a Hedman not just a Jack Finley or Bruce Graham in these huge oversized guys who dont work out.
I think the consensus among all Analysts seems to be CHI taking a RD.

Celebrini,Levshunov and Lindstrom are most likely landing top 3 and not changing this 20 year trend.
IF Demidov , and Silayev werent contracted then maybe like the Belarussian Levshunov they'd have made steps towards ensuring they go top 3 as he did coming to US's NCAA system and finishing top 3 best Dman behind only really Buium and Hutson who all had a show down with each other in the battle of the Frozen Four

Top 3 going 3/5 for Russian/Belarussian's would be a feat never seen in this Millennium and would mean GM's no longer take KHL Contracts as seriously as they once did. Which is quite the opposite of what im hearing given its Wartime and Russia's made no issue with Drafting players to fight making GM's Nervous even more then usual. If Russia pulls off what you're suggesting it'll be a once in a life time situation as the closest they ever got was Ovi 1st, Malkin 2nd and Radulov 15th OA and all had size/skill both not either or

Buium, Yak are 95% certain that they are gone. Trade only makes sense if MTL wants to trade Mailloux for a forward, which I don't think is the intention. As for SJ, depends on if they just wanna take a forward, which might be their best bet at 14 honestly, and go all out on D next year.</div></div>

Silayev is a LD that plays RD exclusively , actually on Captain Konyskin's team behind our Top Russian 22 year old Prospect
Levushunov is going top 5 for sure so Silayev lasts to 7th or 8th tops.
Yakemchuk is Alexi Emelin 2.0 with Predatory hits and asswhoppings for laying them so he'll be available as there's actual skilled players left on the board.
Its why D rankings from all sources ranking Russians or Canadians or Americans higher in their top 5 but Yakemchuk is listed top 5 on many of their lists consistently.
The only one ranked more consistently is Levshunov as #1 D in the draft followed by Yakemchuk at #5

Buuium jumping up in the top 5 was a shocked as Mid season he was a 6th-7th guy tops for D prospects
But he finished by Beating out Hutsons NCAA Scoring record by 1 point in i think 4 more games as he captured a title and it put him over it seems at Parehk expense.
Dickinson is a Monster of a Man who's playing hockey still as he competes for a Memorial Cup Title playing 25+ minutes a night as a 17 year old who's arguably the Best Dman all around in Canada

There's so many options for D and the Left handers are better then the Right handers outside Levushnov
Its a pretty big gap in skill too between Lefty's and Righty's top 5 guys

Point im trying to make is Mailloux's better then any option not called Levshunov in this draft who's a Right handed Right D
That said Mailloux isnt getting that pick for the same reason by proxy as Forwards who should be top 10 are going to fall to that position as Newtons 3rd Law demands.
While i wouldnt Trade Mailloux at all i can say if i did that it would take more given i could land Eiserman there after he just broke Caufields Goal Scoring record i believe i heard.

TBH im not sure anyone 1 lone defensman we own gets us that pick this year given the market and the draft depth, but if he did it would be Guhle or Matheson

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMBL</b></div><div>To be fair, Anaheim should be adding to their D via FA, and the 1st would be top-10 protected. If they end up losing a top-10 pick the following year, then they got some serious problems there. That being said, I don't think ANA is cracking top-3 in the division anytime soon, so they are likely trying to pry away a WC spot from one of LA/NSH (for example) along with teams like Minn, STL, Sea, and Uth. Still don't want to be giving up Zegras + a 11-15th OV pick +Lacombe for Marner. So, likely need a conditional 2nd instead.

I won't say Anaheim shouldn't consider getting Marner depending on the cost of acquisition and how much it costs to retain Marner. If they have to give up Zegras, anything after him shouldn't be a prime asset (save a late 1st). Zegras is a buy-low candidate but I think he's easily worth 2.5-3 1sts. I also think Marner is a buy-low candidate because there are a few loops to get by before Toronto can trade him for max value (probably paying his bonus + NMC + signing him + finding a partner that will pay up). He could still possibly fetch 4 1sts, so I would put his value at 2.5-4.</div></div>

Quick , name me the last five players to get 4 first round picks in a trade.
I mean 2.5-3 was unbelievable but 4 hahahaha , i mean c'mon that dont happen
To my knowledge Wayne Gretzky's the only one a team gave up 3 first rounders ++ for .

Its 2 first rounders and a conditional that rarely works out that is a realistic ceiling but even then there is variable factors
But very very rarely does 3 first rounders happen and Gretzky himself fresh off a half dozen cups couldnt either.(and that was back when picks were traded at less value then today)
To throw around "3 and 4 first round picks" like its nothing is the only thing in your entire post i found to be Ignorant, The rest was rath insightful really.
The bigger the start the bigger the package gets for this reason as a rule cause this isnt basketball and no one gifts away four 1st round picks ever, for any reason in hockey

Marner will get 2 first rounders tops because of his Salary and thats with Double RS
Why? No teams have that kinda cap to spare that Marner would waive his NMC to
That limits the market greatly which is why TML will trade him for 1st , a 2nd or two and a player after RS 1 time and taking back a contract.
Honestly TML's easiest cop out is to target PLD and LAK 1st in 2024 and a later pick or PLD , conditional 1st in 2025 and Kaliyev deals that require 0% RS and are just done and over with ASAP.
Why? Its a team i could see him fitting into right away as they dont need him to be the Hometown Messiah just better then PLD which at MM lowest he's always been

Could he get more ? for sure if TML RS and paid someone to RS they could get more future's with lesser quality players limiting their ability to make other moves.
Or they could trade for Futures and Players who could be a great fit for TML and are young still.
But very rarely does a contender give away all their future assets for 1 player handcuffing their team from making further moves and being competitive
There's ever example since the dawn of the NHL Draft that says 3-4 NHL 1st round picks is a once in 50 years type of move and Marner nor Zegras are Gretzky

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GeneralLandro</b></div><div>Certainly dreaming

We aren’t giving up anywhere near that for a Marner rental</div></div>

I think take Zegras out completely , just cause TML crapped the bed overpaying players who no show after March doesnt mean ANA has to
Replace the 2nd with a prospect unless he's agreeing to a sign and trade then the 3 picks listed makes sense and add Max Jones.
That would make sense IF Marner cap matched Zegras and ANA wasnt taking on 11m.
Either way if he wanted to stay or was willing to play in ANA then be shipped to a contender of his choice at the TDL they could then make a slight profit.

If we're being honest though neither scenario seems likely.
PLD for Marner, sure but then TML is faced with making it work with PLD or buying him out later on
Really Marner for Benn makes the most sense as if DAL wins or loses i just dont think Benn gets re-signed with the depth they got , same as Marner.
Benn is older and his years of 800+ points are long gone but he's scored 50+ goals the last 2 seasons and played 31 playoff games so far with 6 goals and 19 points
Less points then Marner come playoffs but he's basically only been Division ,Conference leaders and Stanley Cup Finalist in the last 5 years as Points isnt his only contribution unlikes with Marner.

Im just saying i know Benn is worth less then Marner so it wouldnt be 1 for 1
But Benn IMO come playoffs is the piece TML need to compete at a level they simply are not.
Give them Robertson in the exchange as re-uniting brothers is something all teams like doing , its marketable.
Take back a lesser pick in the exchange and justify it you needed this boost to Leadership to help drag TML past the fabled dream of making a 2nd round and focus on Winning a Cup
Cause i think Benn, Tavares, Matthews,Nylander ,Reilly is a solve top 5 to lead but i think TML is now faced with Goaltending issues to fix to ensure their success as Samsonov is the best UFA goalie.

Plus i could see both Marner and Benn waiving their NMC in the final year before their next big contract.
Both have the chance to leave their teams better off and have their legacy in that city remembered for it , or the chance to.
For example Plekky agreed to go to TML rather then make a stink about it like Josh Gorges.
Now how he's remembered for at that time when he was winding down in MTL but declining as he aged. What he's remembered for is for giving us Kulak and by Proxy Lane Hutson
Robertson can be that for DAL and that pick could be that for TML if they draft well like MTL did

Point is there's upsides all around in DAL and TML making a deal.
Few Downsides really

We have both outlined our reasons, neither is more valid than the other, it is just my personal opinion that Holtz is not a big enough prize to retain on Anderson, add Dvorak and also a 1st. I think for the deal to work they are going to have to take Anderson at full cap hit, drop Dvorak or switch the 1st to a 2nd.</div></div>

Literally the opposite of what i said .
I explained 1+1=2 and you got offended by Math.

I said i wouldnt make this trade 999/1000 cause i like Anderson.
But Holtz is good and if Hughes making another Draft Day Deal using a Late 1st gets us another Newhook or Dach his history says he'll make that move regardless of is Andersons involved. Holtz is in a much better place then either Newhook or Dach and costs less then either did while moving out Cap and Term vs Buyout

All i did was cite logic and explain how Business works.
Doesnt mean i'd Trade Anderson normally as im the only fan on here including you who doesnt ever trade Anderson.
Last thing i'd do is use my 5th OA to move him out and pretend to be insightful.

9/10 posts i think you're pretty smart actually
On this one you cant get out of your own way.
RS slot doesnt matter if you're giving up 5th OA picks to do it like on your post . All to save and avoid giving up a 4th round draft pick to RS
Thats just counterintuitive argument like someone lobbying to pay Interest fee's level weird.

Reality is Hughes is linked to Holtz and the cost of Xhekaj included as a piece was too much for him.
I just dont get how you can argue he'd give away a 5th OA pick after tanking all year is an option
Its like paying a 5th OA for Holtz in any context makes no sense at all when Offer Sheeting him is Cheaper

But either way im out
If you can build a trade worse then this one right after and call it good.
Clearly i wont be able to 1+1=2 this stuff with you this time around

It is 2.025 mil (8.1 mil total) vs 2.75 mil (8.25 mil total) but we lose our ability to retain on another player at the TDL which is the bigger cost.</div></div>

You're argument is 150k and a RS spot for 3 years?
We dont lose the ability to Sell , we just shouldnt be in that timeline
IF we need to the going rate is a 3rd or 4th round pick to RS on UFA's depending
Its pretty simple we have to pay to Sell many of our UFA's this TDL anyways
So yes this year it will cost us an extra middling pick in the draft of which we've acquired extra's
We'll just have to Parlay those to leverage the sale of pending UFA's this year is all.

Then it will be 2.75m x 2 years and 2.025m x 4 or an adjusted rate of 4,05m a year for 2 years.
Just because you dont seem to be getting the point , if it was 2.75m x 1 years and we waited 2 years to buy Anderson out at 4.33m it would give us 2.16m x 2 or 4.33m x 1 year adjusted.

In EVERY CONTEXT its cheaper cap wise to take 2.75m over the short term
Your arguing having a cap hit longer is better and im just flabbergasted
Its ok to not want to do it and say "i enjoy paying more and Credit Companies love me because of my accute attention to details and misunderstanding them"
But it doesnt change the facts of the Numbers, they are what they are.

As i said i'd rather keep Anderson but this deal makes too much sense to argue for keeping that WPG pick i dont want to trade.
If it was anyone but Holtz i'd likely have stuck to no despite it being cheaper as i like Anderson and think he'll rebound personally.
But none of that changes the Math, it doesnt care what anyone thinks as its a Constant and we're the Variables.
