What would it take to land Xhekaj
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jpsnow13</b></div><div>A radioman saying he wouldn't be surprised if a player was traded is not even close to be a rumour, nor a prediction or even an opinion. It's merely a feeling.
Toronto fans will cling to anything to manifest their love for Xhekaj and Anderson's grit.</div></div>
You mean the guy that trained Xhekaj in the summer and probably has his phone number?

May not have the skill (or still developing) but he is a guy you want to battle with in the playoffs. He would be a monster to go up against

I'm taking Xhekaj over any defensemen we have. He is exactly a guy you need in the playoffs. The calculators won't understand

Lillytrade
Leafs won't be trading Liljegren for anything less than a first. A RHD in itself are needed by all teams so the price won't be cheap. We also traded Sandin (who was worse than Liljegren) for a first to the Capitals

I agree they would want Mints and I could see it. At the same time, Minten has a bigger chance of flopping then Robertson considering Robertson is already NHL ready and putting up points

Changing the captain and overall team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SomeonesOffended</b></div><div>Would do all of this but I doubt Tavares loses the C but not sure Columbus accepts</div></div>
I think to get Jenner, it will have to cost one of Knies, Minten, Cowan, or Robertson (they will definitely want futures). Knies is an untouchable, Cowan is dominating and shown very good promise during training camp. It came down to Minten and Robertson. For Minten, centres are hard to find and I don't know if the Leafs want to give up a centre over a winger
Out of those four, Robertson seems the most "replaceable" but want to get value back if we were to trade him

I can't see him being on this team, just like how Sandin was. If anything, one of Brodie or Liljegren could be moved

Personally, I would do that Arizona deal.
Robertson is just way too small and soft for the NHL. Losing Liljegren will hurt but I wouldn't want to give up on one of Minten/Knies/Cowan just yet. The upcoming draft is weak so not losing sleep over the first

We want Perry
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ht42</b></div><div>Something that I remember it's like Dubas and Bergevin aved both of them a interest with Simmonds, and Simmonds decided to sign with Toronto. Two months after, he decided to sign Perry, and he clearly said in his 1st media interiew with Montreal that it's was a obvious choice because Montreal was his childhood team and "he wanted to win..................." .</div></div>
But he said that after signing with MTL. What is he going to say? He hates the team he just signed with?
What I remember is that Simmons and Perry were both available to Dubas. Perry literally asked the Leafs to sign him but Dubas opted for Simmonds

His first choice wasn't MTL. He literally begged Dubas to sign him to the Leafs when he was a FA, it was a big thing back then. Dubas decided to go with Simmonds instead, hence why he signed with MTL

Ranking teams based on most attractive markets to play in
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheAlien</b></div><div>Vancouver as a market is much closer to Toronto and Montreal than Ottawa and Edmonton. Go listen to former players talk about the city, it's looked at pretty favorably.</div></div>
It's in western Canada, a spot that many players have on their NTC or destinations they don't want to go to. If Toronto and MTL were not an original 6 team, they would be part of the "no one wants to play there" category

I think he's a great player. My problem with him is that he seems entitled and has never heard the word "no" before in his life. If something doesn't go his way, rather than just owning up to it, he seems to make a big fuss about it
He just isn't my type of player. He has that "me" first mentality unfortunately
