La même équipe que cette année avec un 2e goaleur qui ferait une bonne job.

Le fait est que Romanov si prometteur soit-il ne sauvera pas les grosses lacunes défensives du CH (qui étaient présentes même avec Scandella). Pour l'attaque, c'est encore le même manque cruelle de profondeur. Kovalchuk a bien fait au début mais on commençait à voir dans ses derniers matchs et ses premiers avec Washington que sur 82 match, il aurait beaucoup de difficultés. Bref, lui non plus ne sauverait pas les lacunes offensives du CH.

Quant à moi ce scénario serait inacceptable car tu arrive avec moins de 2M sous le plafond pour finalement la même équipe. En plus, Kuhdobin va rester à Dallas. Nous avons les pièces nécessaires pour améliorer la formation via une transaction. Un défenseur top 4 doit être une priorité peu importe a quel point Romanov performe. Je suis prêt à vivre avec cette attaque si on accorde moins de buts au final.

Kulaks a good stop/gap player but long term he's not gonna be in MTL we'll flip his rights before he goes UFA.
Chiarot is a good fit for the next 3 years to help our young LD transition into fulltime NHL minutes

personally i think they should leave Mete in Laval to start the season atleast as he's only got 40 Waiver Exempt games left before he requires Waivers to be sent down and he's owed time to figure out his offensive game . the reality is he tried learning as you go in the NHL but he's just playing keep up and i noticed a huge improvement after his stint with Coach Bouchard who also helped Kulak make the jump to replace Mete interim beside Weber .

build up the value of the Kulaks , Chiarots and Reilly's then flip them for picks as Mete's , Romanov's , Brooks, Struble's and Norlinders come up

Chariots a solid #4/5 D i dont know what everyone's problem is with him
31st in shots blocked in the NHL, 48th in hits and is coming to MTL same way Petry did

granted Petry's a special teams guy but he only scored 20 points more then head to head over 5 years with 15/20 coming in 1 years with the other 4/5 being pretty tight production.Petry scored 15 points on the PP in his first 5 years accounting for for 75% of their difference in production . Chiarot is the guy you want with Petry 5v5 because he'll potentially learn and evolve his game in the remaining 2 years Petry is contracted .

Chariot deal makes sense because every year he's been in the league his productions only increased never dipping once so there is great potential there given Mete and Romanov are our 2-3 years plan for our LD a guy like Chiarot becomes essential in helping them manage minutes but more importantly because after Romanov gets settled Chariot can mentor Juulsen on bottom pair .

If you check out the year Petry had 25 it was RNH first year he scored 52 points including a team leading 23 Power Play Points at 18 years old and Petry scored 40% of the PP points he scored over 5 years that season . RNH had a Sophmore Slump and Petry's numbers drop only rising again in RNH Junior(3rd) and Senior year (4th). Chariot is a guy Claude's gonna rely on to make statement hits and block key shots which isnt as flashy as PP points but it has its rewards like keeping the Goalie happy .
