Seattle declines. We pretty much fell apart when Dunn got injured and McCann is also critical to our team. While I could see Seattle trading for Marner, any potential trade for him is going to run into the issue of both teams being after win now pieces

Seattle passes. We already have a replacement for Schultz next year, so we wouldn’t have a spot for liljgren

Seattle declines, Wright is not available. I could see us trading for Marner, and if we do he’s probably going on Wrights wing

Rossi and who I would draft
Seattle already has an internal replacement for Schultz in Ryker Evans, so we pass. It looks like Schultz would have been on the trade block at the deadline if Dunn hadn’t been injured

Primary Goal - NHL Draft and Offseason - 1
It makes more sense to me for Seattle to keep the pick and get their favorite of the defensemen available since that’s a bit of a weakness in our prospect pool, especially when the proposed trade down is that many spots

Marner the whipping post
While the difference in term would be a benefit for Toronto, it’d make the deal bad for Seattle. As well, our play pretty much fell apart when Dunn got injured, and we aren’t going to want to move McCann, who based on comments he’s made probably has Toronto on his NTC. Also I doubt a gm could really survive the media/fan reaction if they sent out a first round pick alongside one of the core four players

Not as bad as what a lot of people post, but the Kraken also can’t trade Dunn, we pretty much fell apart when he got injured

Seattle aint want him
Wright is going to be with the Kraken next season. Coming into the season management indicated the desire to have him in one place for a whole season as opposed to four different teams last season. He’s doing great in the AHL and seems to be taking on a leadership role among the other youngsters there. There’s no indication of dissatisfaction from the team or player

Seattle passes. Doesn’t make sense to trade our top prospect and we already have plenty of top six wings so that doesn’t really help get Lafreniere out from behind his current log jam

Vote for Marner deal
No from Seattle. Scoring isn’t an issue and I don’t feel like he’s that good of a fit for a team that values flexibility both in terms of line up and salary cap. We’re also still building our prospect pool

A first would make it less appealing to Seattle. Frankly I don’t think Seattle is much of a fit for any if Toronto’s core four with how both teams are structured

Not the kind of move Seattle would make and Toronto would be able get more assets for Marner from elsewhere
