I didn't say he wasn't going to be a ufa? Don't forget Manson also has a modified ntc. Colorado might have been one of the few inside that ntc that actually wanted Manson. Chiarot has no say in where he gets dealt. Plus with half retained Chiarot will be a tad cheaper on the cap. Just a couple other factors to consider

Helleson as a right shot D and the way he has played this year makes him worth his draft stock. Add in another 2nd and it gets you close to a late first rounder. Chiarot has more value than Manson, I say imo but I honestly don't think its a debate.
Either way I wouldn't be shocked if he gets a first in return or a 2nd and good prospect. We will see Monday. Someone will be wrong in this debate lol

I wouldn't say clearly. Helleson and a 2nd is very close to the equalivant to a late first round pick. Opinions vary but imo Chiarot has a tad more value right now via trade. Still expecting a first but a return like this wouldn't be far off

Please try watching some playoff hockey. I know you're not use to it with you're own team but just try. He is a stud in the playoffs plain and simple. Passes every eye test. And his advance analytics in the playoffs are actaully good lol

Current market value they know a lot more than you. None of those trades were deemed as bad at the time. And Savard was a key piece to the Lightnings success. He is a similar player (not as good) to Chiarot, so thats a bad example

I think nhl general managers understand values and playoff performances a lot better than you. If only the leafs had someone that could clear the front of the net and play agaisnt the other teams top lines maybe, just maybe they could have some playoff success. Its hard to outscore your problems in the playoffs fyi

Stop sucking Chiarot's dick, he's a 5/6 or worse by every available metric and a terrible shutdown D. Face it, you're gonna get a 3rd for him by some contending team.</div></div>
Ok, you definetly have no idea whats going on lol. Try watching a playoff game bud.
Every analyst out there is saying he is getting a first lol. I'm more in the camp that his true value is a 2nd and prospect but because how good he is in the playoffs and the fact that half the league have called about him he is definetly getting a first in return.

Plus minus is your tool for valueing players? Lol. Wow. That just gave me some insight to how you think. Do you watch hockey? You do realize he is a shut down D that usually goes agaisnt the other teams best players? Lol. He literally just went agaisnt a top three line in the league tonight. He is much more valueable then every D on the leafs not named Reilly in the playoffs.

I think Gallagher is bad. Regular season Price and Weber were horrible. Petry has been awful this year (other than the last 4).
Happy?
Chiarot has been decent considering he is playing top pairing minutes on a team that has no motivation. It just confuses me when leaf fans can't admit that he would help them. Why are they so scared to admit that?

I guess you haven't actually watched much hockey have you? Especially in the playoffs. The leafs defence as it is currently constructed has a zero percent chance of making a deep playoff run. I'm not a huge fan of Chiarot in the regular season but in the playoffs he was a beast. One of the main reasons they made it to the finals. One of the biggest reasons they beat Pittsburgh and should have beat the fylers two years ago.

Ya I did, Anderson top 4 in goals if he was on the leafs last year lol. And thats with no pp time. Someday you'll understand the NHL.
Have you ever wondered why the leafs can't win a playoff round? Just curious. Would you admit that some of these hab players would help them win a round? Or are you just naive about that fact. Do you think every hab player sucks and all leaf players are awesome?

27 three years ago. Injured then coming off major surgery two years ago. 17 over 52 (pro rated 26 goals) last seaso then 10 in 39 in a bad year this year (pro rated 21 goals). And those are 99% 5 on 5 goals because he doesnt get pp time. So ya, he is a 20 goal scorer on teams who don't score goals.
