Clearly not getting it after that Manson return

I wouldn't say clearly. Helleson and a 2nd is very close to the equalivant to a late first round pick. Opinions vary but imo Chiarot has a tad more value right now via trade. Still expecting a first but a return like this wouldn't be far off

I mean Anaheim got a promising future top 4 defensman + a 2nd rounder. Between that and a late 1rst rounder I'd rather take what Anaheim got... I don't think prices for rentals will get higher than that.

The 2nd is already going to be 58-64 and helleson most likely returning for a 4th year of college he doesn't have much value at all

Lol 2nd rounder is 58-64 and helleson Is most likely returning for a 4th year. Not to mention you are drastically overrating him by calling him a future top 4 d man

So because he's returning college its not a good player? And you're right maybe not as promising as I said but he's still a good prospect that as the potential. Btw I don't think Mtl will get Lundkvist or whatever from NYR for Chiarot but still its a good return IMO

Returning for college as in Anaheim won't have his rights anymore and pick whatever team he wants to sign with

like you know anything about whats going to happen. anyway, for the chiarot trade it might be close to his value but i think hughes might try to get a prospect instead of picks.

Helleson as a right shot D and the way he has played this year makes him worth his draft stock. Add in another 2nd and it gets you close to a late first rounder. Chiarot has more value than Manson, I say imo but I honestly don't think its a debate.

Either way I wouldn't be shocked if he gets a first in return or a 2nd and good prospect. We will see Monday. Someone will be wrong in this debate lol

So because a prospect goes back to college to get better he's worth jack****? Helleson was primarily seen as a shut down dman but found a new game as he's almost a PPG this season, he's a very good prospect. RDs are a kings ransom.

Helleson is worth a 1st alone, dunno what you're trying to say here.

Read the thread bud. And I definitely don't think Helleson is a worth a first. But definitely better than AdamFox thinks above

First round pick are way to overrated. From 10-32 there a 35% chance of picking a players thay will play sustainable time in the NHL. The chance of getting a all star drop at under 10%. Helleson is a 2019 prospect who had improved a lot and thats for most Gm is much more valuable since players are much more developed at 21 so it make easier for scouts to see the potential. Helleson is a excellent return and clearly the Key pieces in that deal. Regardless of the rank they drafted him now Anaheim know exactly what they get in Helleson.

I didn't say he wasn't going to be a ufa? Don't forget Manson also has a modified ntc. Colorado might have been one of the few inside that ntc that actually wanted Manson. Chiarot has no say in where he gets dealt. Plus with half retained Chiarot will be a tad cheaper on the cap. Just a couple other factors to consider

I don’t think you know the NCAA rules about UFA. NCAA players’ rights expires after 4 years of being drafted. Helleson was drafted in 2019, he therefore has 1 more year after this season till he gets full autonomy. Please check your facts before acting silly
