Blackhawks have one more move to make
Fine. If De Haan is out...this is the lineup. Although, I maintain Colliton has made it clear he doesn't want Jokiharju in the lineup at all.
I like the idea of Andrew Shaw as the 3rd-line center because he has the ability to be a physical pest that will provide some thump, sandpaper and be a big body in front of the net.

Deadline if we in playoffs
I'm not trading out of the first round of the 2020 draft (especially without a 2nd round pick) for a couple months of Ryan Nugent-Hopkins in the playoffs and one more season. Nope. Not good enough.

Opening Day Lines

So you're saying trade Murphy? He might be the team's best RH defenseman so you better get a really, really good return on that. Short of a trade or some other move, I'm not believing Jokiharju makes the team out of camp. Colliton is not a big fan in the first place and which of the 6 d-men right now do you send to the press box (and nope, it isn't going to be Seabrook).
I'm not against a Saad-Toews-Shaw first line but I think Caggiula has more speed than Shaw and that's why I put him on the 1st-line wing.

Keeping Cat amp Strome under the cap
Kampf was a UFA and I had to let him walk or go to Seattle.
I'm overpaying Crawford by $1 million per based on the fact that I think he has a spectacular season in 19-20.
Strome will be overpaid because again I think he has a good/great 19-20 season and I want to avoid a PR disaster that RFAs have become lately. I've staggered their deals to the point that Saad, Crawford, Toews and Kane will be potentially off the books when Cat and Strome both come up for UFA.
I don't know how Mitchell fits in the Top 6 unless Seabrook is traded and I've been adamant that I don't think Seabrook waives his NMC.

Blackhawks
1) Seabrook isn't getting traded but he has a full NMC and likely won't waive it.
2) The Hawks aren't going to rush Kirby Dach to the NHL roster on Opening Night.
3) Kubalik is not going to be a healthy scratch. He either makes it on one of the four lines (likely) or goes to Rockford.
4) If you're doing an Anisimov trade, you'll have to give Los Angeles picks for taking on the salary, not get the good picks back.

Give me feedback on this Seabrook trade and offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kaners_hangover</b></div><div>Dealing Seabrook gives them financial flexibility, which in my opinion justifies paying the price to deal him. I would be fine keeping Perlini, but I think the Hawks should see how much Puljujärvi would as cost as he’s very talented and has been misused in EDM.</div></div>
But again...with Seabrook's no-move clause, you can't assume he'll agree to be traded anywhere. What if he refuses? Nobody is trading for Seabrook. Every team is just waiting for him to be bought out.

Chicago Blackhawks Post-DeHaan Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ryminister_27</b></div><div>I'd be willing to be a lot that if the defence stays as is, Jokiharju gets sent down to the AHL for more development. There's no way Chicago is going to consistently sit Seabrook and his salary. That'll make him completely untradeable.
Oh and it'll cost you more than that and you'll get less return to dump Anisimov.</div></div>
1) I seriously think the Blackhawks should contemplate starting the season with 7 d-men. Seabrook is untradeable now because of A) his cap hit/term and B) his no-move clause where he could reject any trade deal. So, why not rotate him with Jokiharju to start the season and figure it out from there?
2) You're right on the Ansimov deal so I revised it. Columbus gets all of its 2020 and 2021 picks they've lost in the 2019 deadline moves back and they get a at-worst below average 3rd-line center for two years to a place where FAs aren't exactly flocking to go.
3) I'm beginning to warm to the idea of Corey Perry on a 1-year deal. If he can still skate (and I think he can, it's his hands that are breaking down more) I like the idea of having him with the Errie combo of Strome/DeBrincat on the 2nd-line. I don't love the idea of not adding a 1st-line winger to this roster but I just think you have to prepare for Strome and DeBrincat to have monster seasons and then have at least $15-16 million of AAV for multi-year extension offers that could hopefully be announced by NY Day.

Give me feedback on this Seabrook trade and offseason
Two issues with this rebuild version...
1) I'm of the opinion that you don't think you need to trade Seabrook. It'll take a 1st and probably a 2nd to unload his contract and why do that to your future? If Seabrook starts out the season as a 3rd-line D player or even a 7th D-man on the roster and struggles early, why couldn't the Hawks just decide to buy him out? That seems like a reasonable solution for everybody AND what's to say Seabrook doesn't pull a Phil Kessel and refuse any trade anyway? Why set yourself up for such a PR disaster at that point?
2) Bowman says he wants to keep Perlini so I'd add him to the forwards for next year. Plus I'm not in the camp that believes the Hawks will try to rush Dach to NHL roster by the season opener. If he has to start in Rockford, why not?

A look at the present and future
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>Widely reported Boqvist is back with the London Knights for another year.
Jokiharju should be playing 1st line.
Gardiner is redundant with Gus and $5M more then Gus. Save the $6M and spend it elsewhere like the desperately needed top line winger we need.
Seabs won't be the 7th guy, he'll play at least 3rd line minutes; Koekko is your 7th man.
Edjsell is back in Sweden now playing, worthless in a trade. Remove the 2nd rounder for Buf and it's doable.</div></div>
I hear you on the roster and trade changes. I really like Gardiner for 6x6 on this team because if/when the Hawks want to buy out Seabrook, Jake will be just 31 or 32 years old.

Okay. Fair enough. I just changed the deal. Added Nashville's 2018 1st and Jokijarhu. That's 7 pieces and 3 first round picks.
