That doesn't get Rossi and it's not close.
You aren't getting that for Jarry.
You aren't getting that for Rakell.
Probably not getting that for Acciari either.

Looks like you are trading mitch marner for tyler Myers then.

Rossi for Knies - Who Says No
MIN. Rossi projects to be a top six player for them for years to come in a position that they severely lack in, trading him for Knies doesn't make sense, because then they have one centre (JEE) and a ton of wingers (Kaprizov, Knies, Boldy, Yurov, Ohgren)

Sens Offseason
Minnesota has 12 forwards under contract for next season already plus RFA Mason Shaw and kids who might get promoted from Iowa, so Mark Kastelic isn't much more than a throwaway throw-in. The difference between one season of Jakob Chychrun and one season of Jake Middleton (whom Minnesota will be able to afford to re-sign much more easily than Chychrun) can't be all that much, especially given that even with the retention, Chychrun's contract is under water while Middleton's is economical. I doubt that the Wild would do this even if you took out the first.

Sens Offseason
I don't see that being something the Wild consider.
Middleton is pretty much exactly what they need in their defense at a good cap hit and they should be trying to get more guys like him. Giving up a 1st and other picks for a move they don't really need to make when they should be looking for a top 6 LW seems like a bad idea. He's definitely not a guy that needs to be dumped for cap space, they're not as cap strapped this year as people on this site seem to think. lol

I dont know what they will do
If Marco Rossi is good enough to play #2C for St. Louis behind Robert Thomas, then he's good enough to play #2C behind Joel Eriksson Ek, so why would the Wild give him up? Rossi is coming into his own now, and the 16th overall selection in June isn't likely to produce a replacement until 2026.

Not shot Minnesota trades Faber. In a Bedard-less Calder race, he’d win easily.
If the Ducks need a RHD I’d rather take a shot with Levshunov

Make that future considerations going to Montreal and Minnesota still delines they're in Cap hell and they pay a premium futures asset to screw their cap further? Bill Guerin would have to be brain dead to do this.

Do you seriously believe that Minnesota will trade you their 21 year old Calder nominee right handed defenseman and a 30-goal scoring two-way forward on the right side of 30 for a B-prospect, a first-round bust, and a late first? This is un-precedented levels of delusion

Wild Fans Get in Here

Quoting: Blazingbat11

I agree that Boldy is worth more than Guhle atm, but not to the extent you're suggesting and that's being suggested in this trade. If Kent Hughes was hell bent on getting Boldy and had to overpay, then this deal is fine.
Let's not undersell Guhle here, he's still very much projecting to be a top pairing defensemen, and is trending to achieve that projection. The scouting report on this very website suggests it, multiple scouting reports and articles from other websites (the Athletic recently wrote about Guhle, etc.) suggest the same. All agree he won't be a superstar, but a steady reliable two-way top pairing guy.
Best comparable I can think of that Guhle is projecting to become, is Jacob Slavin. Not a superstar, doesn't play the PP, but plays the most even strength and PK minutes and can put roughly between 30-40pts a season. Definitely a top pairing guy.

I agree with you 100% that Guhle is projecting to be a top-pair LhD. 100%. My point is that a projection plus a last-quarter first don't come close to a youngster drafted 12th overall who has already proven that he's an All-Star.

You're wrong in isolation, and you're doubly wrong in the context of your having a surplus of quality LhDs on the roster and in the pipeline. Kent Hughes would push a peanut with his nose on his hands and knees down St. Catherine's Street in the dead of winter to make this trade, as your knowledgeable colleague @BadaBing says.

MIN declines. I'd take Boldy over Caufield. Both are fine players but Boldy suites the Wild far more than Caufield.

My Offseason

Quoting: EccE

I doubt the Wild take that. Brännström will be 25 by the start of next season and still hasn't broken out to be the offensive dynamo he was expected to be. I doubt it's happening. And while it would be nice to take a flyer on him, a 2nd round pick is too steep of a price. Remember, the Wild traded Calen Addison for a 5th round pick this season.
Brännström's also an upcoming RFA with a 2,1 million QO and arbitration rights, so not the cheapest 3rd pairing guy, either.

You make many good points here. In reality, I expect Brannstrom to sign his QO in Ottawa.
