Thoughts?
Saad would never sign here or anywhere for that. Not even close. Would be nice. Not going to happen.

Might be cool to try. You have to take Johnsson off this though because he won't be back in the playoffs.

Same trade but add Josh Anderson and it would be amazing.

85 point 5 million cap
Kerfoot, Johnsson, Dermott, and a high pick for Parayko. I think this does it. Solves their problem and they can sign Pietro.

LEAFS TRADE FOR MANSON TO WIN A CUP
Clifford and Soup will get more but this is close. Cap will be closer to 85 probably but we could still make this trade work.

Core intact at 84
1. Holl > Dermott
2. Wont get Zacha for that.
3. Wont get Manson for that.
4. Would rather pay that for Manson than Dumba and maybe have a chance.
5. You have no cap room left for any scratches

When Healthy
No way Morgan and Tyson are together. They are pretty much identical styles. It's going to be
Rielly - Ceci
Muzzin - Barrie
Dermott - Hall
I hate Ceci as much as anyone, but he is an upgrade over a LHD switching and Liljegren on RDH. Muzzin and Barrie will play the most.

Wouldnt This Be Nice

No I was just correcting his argument. The post is named "Wouldn't this be nice" for a reason. We need a stud RHD. Our best bet is trade because we can't afford the contracts like Pietro is going to command. What is it going to take to get Parayko and leave them room to sign their Captain?

Dermott is LHD.

Dude you comment on every Leafs post saying that they aren't good but you don't post your own or provide your option that would be better for the Leafs.

Leafs Next Move
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lenny7</b></div><div>Find short term fixes then.
I honestly don’t even think it’s the quality of the d-men in toronto that is the issue, IMO it’s a fundamental issue when it comes to the team defending their own zone. They’re so aggressive in the offensive zone (which they should be...to a point), that it results in way too many high quality scoring chances coming the other way.
You could stack that D, but at the end of the day, you can only let up so many odd man rushes before bad sh1t happens.</div></div>
The Leafs have stated that we are looking to trade for a defenceman with term. You can't do that without making a splash. We aren't looking for short term help. And you could be right, but this is a fantasy trading website, not a place to change our defensive scheme. This trade makes sense for improving our team this year and the future.

Dumba has shown (prior to this year) that he can be a solid defenseman in this league. Yes he is more offensive minded, but Barrie will leave a hole next season that can be filled by Dumba. I also think he is better defensively than Barrie is. And Galch has proven in this league that he can score and put up points and there is no way we are worse off with him the Timoshov or the Goat. No way.

Your last thread you posted, you moved him, so this comment is irrelevant. Especially when you have nothing to add.

Fair! But every team makes sacrifices to win in a certain window. Leafs can't wait for Liljgren to maybe become as good as Dumba in the next 4 years.

this is bad and pointless</div></div>
But not for 6mil for the next 4 years. And yes Galchenyuk isn't great but paying a bit more in the trade to get him will fill the roster spot left by Johnsson in the playoffs and he's an upgrade from Timishov or anyone else we'd be putting in.
