LMAO, yes he is - I'm not a morning person, and haven't had my coffee yet :flushed

Sweden Olympics 2022
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EsoYeezus69</b></div><div>Larsson isn’t that good, he got picked for free by Seattle. I see Klingberg and Dahlin both making the team over him.
Karlsson could have a bounce back season, and even if he doesn’t he’ll still be on the top parring with Hedman. Then I’d put Klingberg with Brodin and Dahlin with one of Lindholm and Ekholm.</div></div>
I agree Larsson will need to have a really good start to the season to solidify a Sweden Olympics roster, but to correct here, he was not picked "for free". The Oilers were trying to resign him and protect him, but he didn't want to stay in Edmonton - his dad had died while visiting him in Edmonton unexpectedly a couple seasons ago of an early heart attack, and he expressed in an interview recently he had been unable to shake that weight in the city and wanted a fresh start. Seattle was about as fresh as it gets. So he signed there early in the time only they and the Oil could negotiate with him, constituting the pick of an Edmonton player per the draft rules.

What do you feel about the forwards? I guess Eklund is speculative, but he has certainly impressed in the preseason.</div></div>
That’s why you’d put Dahlin with Larsson and Klingberg with Brodin. Put an offensive dman with a defensive one to level it out.
As for the forwards I can see Raymond making a case for himself, him like Eklund have been having great preseasons.

Klingberg makes the team 100%, he’s their best RHD.

Swedish Team - Under the Cap
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Garb66</b></div><div>No Bäckström or William Karlsson? Backie is elite. W Karlsson was the cup condender Golden Knights best forward in the playoffs this year. Check out this super interesting article about an advanced analytics selection of a Swedish roster:
https://www.expectedbuffalo.com/expected-buffalo-face-off-2022-sweden-olympic-roster-analyics/</div></div>
Definitely both would be on an Olympic team! Kept off Backie for his 9.2mill cap hit, and likewise for Karlsson who I think slots in on this team as a 3rd C. Exercise was to keep it under the cap, so hard choices to leave off. Would be curious to see a team you build with Backstrom and Karlsson on, who would you leave off?

Team Sweden 2022
This is my pick for gold -- these are my lines though:
<em>
Landeskog - Pettersson - Nylander
Forsberg - Zibanajed - Lindholm
Burakovsky - Backstrom - Arvidsson
Eriksson Ek - Karlsson - Backlund/Hornqvist
Hedman - Klingberg
Ekholm - Karlsson
Brodin - Lindholm
Lehner // Markstrom</em>
Would be interesting if Berggren makes it though.

Then again, I am ignoring some people haha…</div></div>
The guy was the best devil on the ice last season in my opinion. Also he’s really strong on the puck. He’s gonna make the team

I guarantee the Sedins were behind the trade. I really hope playing in the same organization with the Sedins and a history of successful Swedish players should help spark the fire.

I’m making a joke. Unless OEL goes like a point per game, I don’t see him making the team.

I think they might add him just for the sake of his name and reputation from before the last Olympics. 2014 was OEL’s prime even though he was young. That also happened to be the time when Loui Eriksson was legitimately elite.

Honestly not sure OEL makes the starting lineup…definitely not the top pair. Lindholm is miles better.
