Possible Minnesota Trade

Brodin > Maatta

I think Toronto trade makes sense. they need D and they get Glendening for 2,5 years 900k caphit.

TDL buy
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>arousedcat</b></div><div>The problem is that this team doesn't have a chance to win, not even this year. They can make the playoffs but can't go anywhere once they do which has been proven for 6 years. If we rebuild next year why would we trade away a 2nd, which would help with that? Greenway and Zucker were both 2nd round picks and Zucker has shown he's a 30+ goal scorer and Greenway probably has a 25g/60p ceiling. So we're trading away a potential player with that ceiling for less than a year of a guy who has consistently between 40-50 points? No thanks from me. Like I said, I'd rather just keep the pick. Adding rentals for high picks has never worked out for us, see the Hanzal trade. If we're in the playoffs at the deadline, great, but I wouldn't give up any picks for rentals.</div></div>
you get picks back when Granlund, Spurgeon and Coyle are traded next season

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>arousedcat</b></div><div>I'd rather we keep the pick. The Wild have proven they aren't making a deep run with this roster for 6 years in a row and adding a 3rd liner isn't going to magically change that.</div></div>
I think this is the last chance to win. Next year rebuild is only thing that makes sense

Jets are in for a huge cap crunch next year and so are absolutely not going to risk any performance bonus overages this year (Chevy has stated this publicly). Jets need to have a min of $4 million in cap space post-deadline.</div></div>

Dallas-Vancouver big trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>cbreezy14</b></div><div>Vancouver would love something like that. To keep that 3rd overall pick in the trade I would include Granlund or Virtanen. If that didnt entice Dallas.. as a Van fan I would still do a Tanev & Eriksson for Lehtonen, Hintz, 29th overall and a second round pick and they could keep their high first round pick. Either way nice thoughts</div></div>
3rd overall is big thing i realised that. I took away Hintz and 2nd round pick. Now its more balanced!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>nuxfan</b></div><div>VAN would never make that trade... Aside from Olli, Ben is the only legitimate LD with potential that VAN has... This trade makes no sense whatsoever especially if the return is a cap dump and a middle round pick in a weak draft</div></div>
Lehtonen can play 30 games. Mayby the pick is liltlebit of but i think van and dal will make a trade. including van. d man, dal lehtonen and a pick mayby 1st rounder??

getting duchene
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>You need to field at least 21 players per NHL rules. You have to fill 4 lines for forwards. Alzner is going to need $5M or more to go to a weaker (non cup team) but the Hurricanes have plenty of space so no problem. For that reason also, they should sign some other valuable assets such as Sam Gagner for $3M per year at Center.</div></div>
I just did the core. rest of the players will be prospects
