Sabres fans what do you want for Kulich
No way MTL does that. Are people really this low on Mailloux? He should be worth more than Kulich, or at least be worth the same.
Mailloux was dominant physically in the AHL, was a top 5 offensive dman as a rookie, plays a valuable position (RD), and literally fixed the aspect of his game he needed work on, his defensive zone coverage. Imo he’s a lock on the Habs next year on a pairing with Xhekaj (Who had excellent chemistry together).

Why's montreal adding a 1st ?! Mailloux had a better AHL rookie season

ACarrier for D Mitchkov in Farabee out
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kaiser1776</b></div><div>Actually we are short on LW prospects</div></div>
Well short on both to be exact, but i'd rather have more C than wingers, they can adapt to play on wing. Wouldn't also be surprised if Michkov ends up being LW.
And i'm not saying I want to get rid of him, I believe he'd be good 2nd line LW in competing team, just that when there's smoke, there is usually fire. He's been in trade rumors, and this is okay package for him. Useful RHD and a C prospect who's better than any we have in system right now. Ofc would like to get more.

Few ideas for 2024
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Headhack</b></div><div>Fair enough, not the best trade partners cause we're at a similar spot in the rebuild and needing the same thing.
However I would imagine Harris + Beck + Winnipeg 1st would make it value wise (overpay imo not peanuts) but this might just make the team Mid. Dach (former 3OA) higher ceiling then Sillinger at the time got traded for 13 OA.</div></div>
We arent interested in quantity over quality. Harris, Beck and a late 1st does not meet any of our needs, so we would have no reason to make that trade. You would have to offer a high end piece that results in us getting a comparable value player, so either a top 6 caliber prospect or a top 15 pick. It going to be painful to trade for a talented young player, you would be losing a player or asset that you dont want to.

Mtl playoffs 2025-26
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Headhack</b></div><div>Yeah my bad for Hronek definitely higher.
Matheson is top 10 in D points this year for a 5M contract why is everyone here so low on him, better year than Weegar, Dahlin, Seider. And you think he's worth less than a 40 point winger with size ? I was being nice to Utah.
Stamkos is a good friend of Marty and has nothing to prove anymore with 2 cups, probably promise him 1st line minutes with 1st PP and add 1-2 million extra per year than Tampa. Off course he can still stay there for 4x7M but the idea is not far fetch he could land in Montreal</div></div>
Granted that Matheson had a career year with 62 points, Prior he's basically been between 20-30 point defenseman, I don't think that Crouse for a Dman is what Salt Lake City would be asking for. Especially for a Dman that's heading for the wrong side of 30.

I think Pageau will be traded before the 25-26 season and it will not involve retention. Perhaps a 'hockey trade' with some salary coming back

Next season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Headhack</b></div><div>Then don't trade him in the off season but at the 2025 TDL where instead of getting a 4th round he might even fetch a late 2nd with retention. If he starts the year well and gets his (15-20 goals / 10-15 assists) on 50ish matches we will get a good return.
Taking our final retention spot right now removes any type of flexibility during the year on other contracts.
Dvorak is an other player we might need that retention spot at the TDL (there's also always broker teams)</div></div>
The TDL waiting will assume he'll still be playing to the level of the last month and a half. Hugues may take that chance or will he take a knee and grab what he can for him now without retention on the salary to use it for the full year?
I would personally move him as soon as possible. Some players have their ups and downs, had he been on fire since November or December they may have had calls for him at TDL giving more than expected. None of us know what's going on right now, but if an offer comes in, I would try to work it out.

Anderson for the next 3 years a 3.5M</div></div>
the penguins already have 2 crash the net guys in Bunting and DOC. They don't really need an anderson type player at this point. He'd be a nice 4th liner add, but they got bigger issues than spending 3.5 million on a 4th liner.

By TDL next year if he was +-25 points with 10 goal he will be flipped for 3rd pick with half salary retention. No need to cap dump him, if that player would be Anderson you're offer would make more sense however this won't happen for Buf</div></div>

Habs win Celebrini lottery
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ht42</b></div><div>All of the 3 players have much more value than Necas...................................... Bergevin isn't anymore the Habs GM.......
Caufield have somes better offensive stats than Necas at a younger age, Suzuki is able to carry offensively a full team and Slaf can hit easily the 70-80 pts mark next season.
But Necas is now 25-26, have a good season (and haved a breakout season last year with playing with Aho, etc.), but already hit his prime.</div></div>
I agree, hence the reason I said he was delusional. He thinks Necas is McDavid or MacKinnon, hell most Canes fans seem to think that. Necas has a career average of 55 points a season, which he is once again conveniently on pace for but they see that 71 point season as being his norm not the outlier it is. Necas has Domi's value yet they think he is McDavid or something.

And just looks what I wrote for the Canes, they can use that to make an offer for a player like Buchnevich.
And when you talking about one of their three roster players, who they are ?</div></div>
He thinks he is getting one of Caufield, Suzuki or Slaf + a 1st for Necas. It's really not worth talking to Canes fans about cause they take delusional to a whole new unforseen level

Just bc the Sabres are loaded w prospects,
that doesn’t mean we are trying to trade away one of our good players for picks
We just aren’t looking for picks, as our prospect pool is already loaded & we are trying to win now anyways
BUT
If you’re gonna throw 1sts at us,
it is possible we could move on from Skinner
Not that he’s been bad at all for us, but we might prefer to use his Cap on Tuch & Peterka’s next contracts

I think 2 x high 1st, top goalie prospect, 2nd and Top 5OA RD to match your amazing left D's is value wise faire.
However I said value wise, I totally understand that Buffalo would never do this because it would set them back 3-4 years and after missing 12 years straight the playoffs probably not where you wanna go.
This trade definitely has more value for Montreal In the short term</div></div>
Fowler is legit but you don't trade for him when you have Levi. I see your pov but this does not help the Sabres in any way.
