Draft Savoie or Kemell and overpay short term for Giroux or Perron
This would be perfect. I prefer Nazar if Kemell is already gone over Savoie but both would be great w Jimmy.

Future team with Kemell
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Claesson4Norris</b></div><div>Lassi Thomson has been amazing this year. Really fluid skater, which has really helped him in transition breakouts and rush defending. His defensive reads and positional gap control looked great in the NHL, and at the AHL level he really found his WHL offensive touch again. I had him distinctly behind Bernard-Docker heading into this season, but now I think Lassi has really passed Bernard-Docker to become our top RHD prospect. I think he's got real top 4 upside playing with either Chabot or Sanderson long term. Would be pretty surprised if he's not on the 3rd pair with Nick Holden opening night.</div></div>
Holden has really taken a step back in the second half of the season, unless Brannstrom is traded I want him on the third pair over Holden.

What if Stutzle moves back to the wing
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wardbell92</b></div><div>Thanks for the feedback!</div></div>
I think Stutzle needs to play in the middle because he has a lot more room and open ice when he's exiting/entering the zone and that transitional play is what has made him elite over this stretch while playing C so moving him to the wing would just be handicapping him and makes no sense.

Pinto getting injured was probably the biggest blessing in disguise this season, we may have never been able to see Stutzle move to Centre and dominate if it weren't for that.

Can we Afford Everyone
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>athrin</b></div><div>too much for Stu, not enough for Norris and Murray will most likely be gone this off season seeing a Gus has a one way deal next year, also possible Zub gets moved, IF the **** Smith actually plays Thompson and JBD and they play good, Zub will be traded, Branny is most certainly getting traded this offseason</div></div>
Why would they trade Zub that will set the team back and neither JBD or Thomson have top pair potential so who would replace him on the right side?
The Norris deal is more than fair for a bridge deal. Stutzle we will have to see but I think he’s gonna have a breakout year next year he’s been so good the last 20 games. I think PD keeps Branny around just so he doesn’t have to admit his L on the Stone trade and he’s been really good with Chabot gone it wouldn’t make sense to trade him when his value is so low he still has potential just needs to be more consistent.

Can this team steal a wildcard spot next year
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>drmantalban</b></div><div>I don’t think you’ll have to give up Greig. I think another team likely beats an offer of Jarventie + ‘23 1st, but I just don’t see anyone giving up a Greig level prospect.
Isles aren’t giving up Raty, Kings aren’t giving up Faber, Ducks aren’t giving up Perrault or Pastujov. Sens won’t give up Greig.
I think MN has to look like one tier below that in terms of value and then a 1st. And they’ll just need to decide internally what package they like most.</div></div>
Yeah I dont think Sens give up Greig either, but I dont feel the same way about Formenton cuz Joseph is better than Formenton right now and Greig has higher upside so Im not sure where Formenton fits in to the top 9 long term. Maybe Formenton + 2022 2nd would be a better deal then for the Sens?

If that's the price just add $1M a year to the Giroux offer and draft a FWD with our 1st round pick.</div></div>
That would be great if we can, guess I have a lot less faith in Dorion than you do.

Would love to keep Formenton on that third line as well but I think then the Wild make you give up Greig in a trade for Fiala which Im not ready to do.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dannibalcorpse</b></div><div>My heart says yes but I think it'll be more because one of the teams you'd expect to be contenders next year falls apart (thinking 1/2 of the Boston/Washington/Pittsburgh/NYI(please no) falling out of contention).
I do think they make a push even if you keep Formenton over Fiala - the one area I'd really want to upgrade is goalie. Find a good 1B for Forsberg, whether it's a rejuvenated Matt Murray or an outside acquisition, and then I think you've really got a stew going.</div></div>
I really cant see Formenton as a top 6 guy on a playoff team, at least not yet maybe in a couple years if he can add another dimension to his game.

But that’s a very bright future and there are def some eastern teams on the back 9 due to age.</div></div>
Fair points.
