Ottawa lost on Debrincat explained

It wasn't the best trade but at least they still got assets for him</div></div>
Now this doesn't change the fact that he should've never traded for DeBrincat, but looking at it from a vacuum he did well.

2022 Pick
#7: Kevin Korchinski.
#8: Marco Kasper
#9: Matthew Savoie
#10: Pavel Mintyukov
This is a perfect example for why you don't rush rebuilds and trust the process.

I mean anyone saying they didn't lose is coping, but given that DeBrincat <em>only</em> wanted to go to Detroit, Dorion did fine, dare I say good.

Is this even really a debate? Even Dorion himself was saying on radio earlier today that the return was marginal.

Thought he'd be looking for at least 5.5 mil in a bridge deal.

It's Bo Byram deal 2.0. Another bridge contract for a cap-strapped contender trying to delay the big payment due their young stud blueliner.

The reason why you wouldn't want Bergy or Razor with Cat and Larkin is who is playing in the corners? Larkin can play in the corners, but Cat and Razor aren't forecheckers. Perron and Ras are.
It might be 20-30 games before we know how these lines will work.</div></div>
No; I just think that Berggren is our team's best playmaker. Raymond is also a great playmaker, but is
A) Right shooting
B) More rounded than Berggren
Obviously, I do think that Raymond sees the top-line over Berggren; he's the better player no doubt, but that's not what I believe it should be.

Well, to be fair, we were, or at least I was saying the same **** last year.
Then Berty got injured and Vrana had his issues.
Granted, the depth this year is MUCH better. We don't have many top-6 guys, but we do have an abundance of 3rd liners! Although, I do think Berggren takes another step forward this year and solidifies as a top-6 guy.

Rasmussen-Copp-Raymond
At least try it. I'd love Kasper to be 2C, though.</div></div>

Daily reminder to all ACGM users: Moritz Seider is unavailable. I don't care what your offer is, he isn't going anywhere.
Also why is this titled "do it" like there's some secret possibility of this actually happening?

Since I Heard We Were Done Rebuilding Now
I don't think Pionk or Connor is on the block for WPG. I think anyone over 30 would be on the block (Schif, Buck, Demelo, Dillion). I don't think WPG will be "rebuilding" per se, I don't think they are that far off from being a playoff team again (especially in the West).

:laugh You're delusional, Nylander doesn't come close to getting an elite franchise RHD like Moritz Seider. He'd only get moved for Auston Matthews. And even then Yzerman would never move him.
