Beyond that unless Geekie steps up when it gets back the weakest link on this team right now is 2nd line wing.</div></div>
I mean sure as of recently. However, in the grand scheme of things the centre spot is the weakest. Not sure why they would go get yet another winger with Lysell/Merkulov. Seems rushed and un logical

In the 2 years prior to covid and 2 years after Debrusk 82 game average was 30 goals.
So the idea of being a non goal scorer and 1 year wonder is just plain wrong.</div></div>
I’m curious to hear why you think the Bruins need a winger. Because If recency bias of Coyle and Zacha is the reason that’s a very very bad reason.

Outlier and the guy is still playing Unbelievable this year? As well as for the 49 games it’s because of Swayman who’s also playing incredible. Ullmark is completely capable of playing 60-70 games and no team is going to hesitate because he played only 49 games at an unbelievable level. Addressing Debrusk, im not saying their value is the same I’m saying Debrusk + Ullmark is worth a kings ransom.

Let’s not act like Ullmark isn’t a Vezina Winner, and Debrusk isn’t a 20-35 goal scorer. Also RNH was a power play merchant and hasn’t been over a point per game in his career any other year then last year. Let’s not overrate him lmao

One would assume this deal comes with an extension. Also, wouldn’t surprise me one but if the oilers gave this. They are wasting McDavid and Draisaitl’s prime and they don’t have the time to be stubborn about a 2nd and a 3rd.

I have no idea what the cap is going to be so I just kept it the same. Even if it goes up immensely I would still make these moves at these prices.

Larkin is definitely not on the table, for the same reasons as Horvat.
Chychrun I think is pretty unlikely, but I definitely believe Sweeney checked up on him. Other teams outbid Boston easily.
It will be a quiet deadline. A bottom 6 versatile winger/centre and a depth defensemen will be the likely targets.</div></div>
You don’t check up on Chychrun and be one of the final bidding teams on Horvat to have a “quiet” deadline

Teams don’t have the cap space to add him now anymore than they did before, as a rental with prorated cap maybe, that extra year kills that though. Teams know they can add a player of his caliber for 1m ish in free agency.</div></div>
I think the idea that “teams can add someone like him for cheaper” stems from the fact he doesn’t play in the league. He would for many other teams. Maybe not at the deadline but certainly the summer would make moving Reilly very easy. A team like the habs or even the Canucks make sense as a fit for Reilly. It’s hard for me to imagine a scenario where assets are given up.
Enjoy the game!

Lysell is going to be a stud, and Lohrei looks like the real deal. It's really annoying how good the Bruins are :tearsofjoy</div></div>

Compare the 2.
Braun 0 pts 33 hits 35 blocks
Schenn 16 pts 237 hits 75 blocks
In no world should you want Braun over Schenn unless you can trade Reilly straight up for him.</div></div>
Schenn doesn’t play over Clifton, grabbing Shenn is a DEPTH move. And yes I would rather Braun because the cost is probably so cheap.

Nobody is giving up assets for Reilly. They will hold him as insurance, call him up for the playoffs when there is no cap. Try to move him in the offseason or buy him out. Unless he’s included in a deal to dump him, he’s not being moved.</div></div>
We’ll have to wait and see🤷♂️ I’m not hot on the idea of a 2nd being in play for schenn but inflated dumb deadline deals make it possible.
As for Reilly teams would absolutely bite at the chance for mike Reilly. It was already reported that teams like the habs were potentially going to claim him (cap issues) he’s young-ish, good puck mover, and very solid advanced stats. Giving up assets to get rid of him would be a steal for the team on the other end.

My proposed deal is what I would do and think would be fair for both sides. No way In hell a smart GM trades a 2nd for a 7th d man. Would much rather Braun or Kulikov. But your probably right, he will fetch a good amount because of the inflated deals at the deadline 🤷♂️

Boston is not retaining on Reilly his buyout is cheaper.
Nosek does not sit, PK and faceoffs to valuable.
Not a fan of bumping Frederic when he is breaking out.
I like the overall concept/targets.</div></div>
That’s what being reported as the asking price, highly highly doubt any teams gives up a 2nd and a mid level prospect for a 7th d man on a good team. 3rd or 4th is much more likely. (My proposed deal is probably a little off)
Boston certainly doesn’t buy out Reilly (even if it’s cheaper) if they get assets back.
Fair on nosek.
“Breaking out” is a stretch but yes he’s playing some great hockey. Rather have insurance and playoff experience in Barbashev. Will still get some offensive opportunities with foligno. I just wouldn’t trust Frederic to produce some big top 9 goals which are crucial in the playoffs.

Because Zboril is still young? And sure the retention slot maybe doesn’t need to happen. But a young d man (what they want) and a 5th is fine value for schenn. Certainly not many deals would beat this one.

That’s not completely true. It was reported that the reason no team took Reilly is because of cap reasons, teams moving cap around at the deadline would make Reilly more appealing than him being on waivers initially. Now I think you would have to move an asset to get rid of his contract but it certainly wouldn’t be a 3rd. Likely a 5th or 6th.
