Possibly ok
Also meant to sign Perry for 1 year and yes I know he’ll probably sign with Montreal put any player making 800k in that slot I just like the look of Perry on that line

I would like this tandem, but Ullmark will ask for way more money, which the Leafs can't afford. Also Dubas resigned Dermott to keep him. He believes in his players, as he mentioned once again in the media 3 days ago.
Robertson should have a spot in the lineup and Kerfoot should be moved to the wing. TOR needs a decent 3rd line center.</div></div>
According to the guys at the Athletic Ullmark is likely to get around 3mill not much more then he makes now so I think he is a good fit, Perry would be nice but I mean really its mostly filler to get under the cap with a player making around 800k.
Bogo I just prefer to Dermott but you can swap the two. Robertson should have 1 more year in the AHL worst case he makes the team and we put however else on waviers or taxi squad but I'm not sure he is ready yet and I'd prefer he plays 1st line AHL then 4th line NHL

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Specmence</b></div><div>Idk why people keep throwing Engvall at us. Why would we trade a pick and take on 1.25M for a replacement-level guy when we have so many young bottom-6 forwards</div></div>
It not so much Columbus I'd trade him to any team I don't care it just cause our teams trade often, so its not that i think you guys want him its just to make the lineup I needed to trade him to whoever, and you guys have Leaf's pick next year so its easy

well don't be shocked when the season opener is a 21 man roster haha like last season

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Leafsfan16</b></div><div>Why don’t u like Reimer as the backup?</div></div>
I just think there are better options, rather have stronger goaltending and save on Sadd and go with for example Tatar for a million or more less and get a better tandom. I love Riemer as a person just not interested in revisiting him as out goalie

I like this a lot actually! Just don't like Reimer as a backup personally! but otherwise love the the forwards

Ideas maybe
I like the trade, Idk if the Jackets would go for it Werenski is great and I see us just staying the year with Reilly cause we save near a mill on the cap that way but I like it. I think Coleman is going to get something similar to Hyman personally so I'd lean towards Tatar or Schwartz, I'm not a fan of bringing back Reimer although I love him as a person I just think we should spend a bit more there and get a better tandem

also I was thinking Bonino can be swapped out for Stastny as well, or really any decent 3rd line C for around 3 mill but those 2 are my top choices

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>themostleaf33</b></div><div>Perry will probably remain in Montreal. Bunting had one decent stint in the NHL so I mean 5 years is a bit much imo. Better goalies then Halak. Schwartz could be a decent target though for 4.5 or less</div></div>
I just slotted in Perry but anyone that brings in something similar would do that comes cheap, also Bunting at 5 might bit much i still like him in the lineup though

Fair enough, I've made 2 other teams, the 3rd goes for 3C and moves Kerfoot to LW and the 2nd one I did Tatar instead, we have options thats for sure

might be right, but he would come in cheap as an option, cheaper then other top 6 wingers available

McGinn is a decent target but again Halak just isn't the guy Dubas would go for imo and Tatar maybe? I think someone will give him at least 4 though</div></div>
good points, I'm going to make a 3rd one let me know what you think. Bunting a shorter contract would be fine I just did 5 years not the point though! just like him slotting in our lineup

I would like if Dubas did this, and I would change up the lines. 1st line Schwartz - Matthews - Marner second line Robertson - Tavares - Nylander thrid line Bunting Kerfoot - Perry fourth line Mikheyev - Spezza - Simmonds
Defence 1: Rielly - Brodie Defence 2: Muzzin - Holl Defence 3: Sandin - Dermott/Liljegren</div></div>
why not realestic? out of curiosity

Free Agency
I actually see this being realistic, I have made a few of these and find McGinn a really good option for us, although I'm wondering if we should keep Kerfoot as the 3rd line C an add another stronger scoring threat on the wing, so don't sign Galy or Stastny take that 3.5 mill and sign Tatar or Schwartz, someone that can give the 2nd line some extra threat and then bring up Robertson for the 3rd line, I like the Mattinook signing

I'd assume they'd move someone out to fill up the holes, but this is the bases of what i see them doing

Cizikas would be a strong option as well, I prefer Bonino, why do you prefer Cizikas?
