<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bf3351</b></div><div>Ah yes I love when someone from another fanbase tells me what my team needs and doesn't need. The closest the Kings will get to a lottery pick is this draft. They've seen there worst seasons and the next few will be a lot better. Kings already have the best pipeline in the league and can afford to lose next years 1st. They already have 2 2nds and 2 3rds for that draft. Kings have Turcotte, Vilardi, Anderson-Dolan, and Lizotte which will all likely be full time NHL players next season. Along with Bjornfot and Anderson. Kings biggest holes in the pipeline is Defense and wing. This draft we'll hopefully get Drysdale or Holtz which helps. It makes more sense than you think for the Kings to acquire one of Sergachev or Deangelo. Everybody thinks that the Kings are more early in there rebuild than they really are. Ever since Vilardi got called up the Kings went 8-1-1. He got 7 points in 10 games and the whole team fed off of his energy even the older players. There will be a huge good quality youth injection next year and I'm willing to put money on the Kings not being far from a wild card spot by the end of next season.</div></div>

Agree. Kings can lose that first and survive. Sergachev being 21 and his skill level basically replace that first. Especially after looking at past drafts recently and seeing just how many guys never make it or never develop into their first round potential I’d be ok giving up the first.
