Pens trade SanJose
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LetsGoPens69</b></div><div>Copy and paste from recent Hockey Writers articles.
Reimer is a pending free agent who makes $2.25 million against the cap this season. The 34-year-old holds no-trade protection against five teams; however, it’s extremely unlikely he wouldn’t be open to joining Sidney Crosby and the Penguins.
Reimer has posted a .908 SV% this season and in 48 games in 2021-22, recorded a .911 SV%, quite impressive considering he’s playing behind a struggling team. This trade wouldn’t be centered around Jarry, and instead, DeSmith would be the one heading south to California. He’s signed through next season at $1.8 million and could give the Sharks a steady option in goal as the team continues to work through the beginning stages of their rebuild.
The Sharks are open for business as the basement dwellers are looking towards the future. There’s certainly potential that any trade talks could materialize into a blockbuster as the Sharks don’t have many untouchables. Reimer is a prime trade candidate this season, even without a ton of Stanley Cup Playoff experience under his belt. He’s a savvy veteran who is a great personality in the dressing room and someone who won’t disrupt things if he’s not getting a ton of playing time or if things aren’t going well.</div></div>
This is a speculative article and nothing more. "The Hockey Writers" do not have sources, it's pure speculation. It's like reading something on hockeybuzz and taking it to heart.
Reimer will have plenty of potential suitors on the market. But the sharks are not taking back a goalie. We have one of the better goalie systems in the league right now and Dell would be called up to replace or even Makiniemi.

Youre talking about SJs most popular player since Joe Thornton. By the time Hertl retired he will be an icon in SanJose. Is Stutzle more skilled? Yes. Would he win over the city like Hertl? No. He would not.

Definitely not ready to trade Fisher. RD prospects are limited in the org. No interest in DeSmith either. Fish is our best offensive RHD prospect after Merkley and Havelid and has real potential for boom.
Kunin brings more value than Kapanen with his defensive upside and physicality. Nylander is simply not needed and hasn't played NHL hockey in over two years.
Pretty easy pass from SJ

And, in fairness, his AHL production was just under a point per game between as an 18-20 year old. That being said, he's an undersized player who hasn't managed to stay healthy while playing against pros, and AHL stats mean very little (But you did mention production so I felt like I should point it out).
1st+Robertson brings back a solid player (IMO).</div></div>
I devalued him mainly due to consistency and injuries. Small guy, can't stay healthy that's a major concern for a lot of GMs. Like I said the talent and ability is there. If he proves he can play a stretch of games in the nhl while staying healthy and being productive he becomes a real trade asset. Until then he doesn't return much and Leafs would be wise to keep him.

He's had a lot of injuries which is discomforting. No doubting his ability and skill. His AHL production is not that of a top prosoect. He is still a *good* prospect but he is not fetching a high value asset any time soon.

The fact that TO fans want to give up Robertson so bad that he is traded in almost every ACGM is pretty telling of Robertsons lack of quality. He is not good enough to be the centerpiece of any deal acquiring a valuable asset s he himself lacks any concrete value.
Malgin, Hollowell and Kallgren are throw-ins that also lack substantial value. This is a classic quantity for quality trade.

Sharks don't even consider that. No high level prospects, a cap dump and an AHL player with a late 1st is not getting Timo with half retention and Bones with half retention. Nothing realistic about this at all
From Leafs its Niemela. 23 1st, Voit and a 2nd for Timo alone.

Vlasic to Vancouver
Vlasic has bounced back this year and is playing the strongest hockey in years. Sharks will keep him and buy him out if necessary for cap. Vlasics buyout is substantially cheaper than OEL. Easy pass for SJ
Also Vlasic has NMC which he easily exercises for Vancouver, not leaving his long time SJ home for another rebuilder. Vlasic himself has stated he would not waive for any team including MTL.
