So, cap doesn't matter, leafs get fleeced and it doesn't affect the main problem in toronto which is goaltending yet it costs them their best prospect?

WPG Brossoit Harkins DeMelo VAN Jointly Tm8s Holtby Beagle move with Hamonic
Jets say no as it doesn’t work on any level.
Brossoit (G) is a much more capable backup than Holtby (G).
Harkins (LW/C) is much more valuable than Beagle (C). Harkins is 12 years younger than Beagle so Beagle’s age-related decline will be continue to be sharp. While both have one year left under contract, Harkins will be under team control (RFA, arb rights) after his contract expires.
Demelo (RD) is better than Hamonic (RD), as the latter is not even close to the 2014-15 or even 2018-19 Hamonic. Plus Demelo has more term than Harmonic, who is a rental.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ldog92</b></div><div>ya but grandlund is decent forward who is a rental. leafs should be able to get him with this package maybe if they add another draft pick but Nashville can't really ask for more then a decent prospect and a late second and fourth. only has 10 points in 26 games so its not like he doing amazing he is just a decent player.</div></div>
I get your point but trade deadlines are nuts and there will be teams to offer much more. Remember this is a bad year because he is stuck on an injury riddled crappy team that is all about defence or his numbers would be much better.

So in essence, give a good dman for a crappy one and get the lesser goalie...who happens to be signed for another 46 years?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ldog92</b></div><div>like I said the rest of this trade is crap but right now freddy is better then Nedljlkovic</div></div>
Right now. But down the line Ned is gonna have more value. Just from what we'd get from Freddy now compared to what you'd get from Ned in the future.

Thread:
Its Freddys spot to lose plus this adds grit and maneuverability
So this was a weird thing that I had thought up in passing?
so Dallas yes has played a lesser amount of games while the Leafs had played more than them but after yesterday I believe it's time to maybe let the Freddy ship set sail. So in saying that the Leafs are probably going to need a better goalie to play behind Campbell as a 1B or even 1A and why not Khudobin!?!?!? Yeah, he is 34 years old with some term left on his deal but that's exactly who I believe the Leafs need at backstop is a Veteran goalie to play alongside a younger counterpart in Jack Campbell. Both would be at a significant discount so the Leafs wouldn't sink 6 million/year into Freddy Andersen in the offseason coming up. The whole premise of trading Engvall is that he has very sporadic inconsistencies some games he plays well, others he has a complete brainfart on ice. We all know that in a different system he would do well but he is a gamble for some teams to bet on him but I believe he is worthwhile. Because Simmonds will be back soon I believe that Simmonds will be the top 6 fwds that they will place alongside JT and Nylander considering it worked so well previously so they might just go back to that but the addition of Blake Comeau is to solidify that gritty style of play that they need in the bottom six. Yes he is 35 but he has been on some playoff teams in the past and that type of experience can do well on a team like this and he would likely play alongside Boyd and Spezza making that line hard to beat! Meanwhile, the wildcard in this deal is Pysyk. Last year, Pysyk gave the Leafs such headaches because he can play multiple posistions on one team. He is billed as a D man but he can also play LW or RW. That type of swiss army knife would work so well on this team when it comes to opposing matchups with other teams come playoffs and it'll be a nightmare for teams to try and figure out their lines when he is in the lineup. If this trade theoretically happens the Lines would be
Offense:
Thornton Matthews Marner
Simmonds Tavares Nylander
Mikhayev Kerfoot Hyman
Comeau Boyd Spezza
Defense:
Rielly Brodie
Muzzin Holl
Pysyk Bogosian
Goalies
Jack Campbell 1A
Anton Khudobin 1B
Extras:
Robertson
Sandin
Liljgren
Bennett ( Trade for another day )
Lehtonen
I think it's reasonable? It won't happen but it's a thought

There was no actual report, no actual source, and most importantly nothing from Gibson or his representation.
It was a thought by someone that said "expect Burke to be all over Gibson because of his connection to Anaheim" and something along the lines of us being a sinking ship even though the Ducks are playing well and have guys like Zegras and Drysdale coming up soon and the emergence of guys like Comtois.
For my money he's the best goalie in the league, I dont know if you put Vasilesky on the Ducks if he holds up as well as Gibson has</div></div>
Well he's no Michael Hutchison of course, but yeah he's good.

You can't compare An offer on a forum to an offer on a forum like either one are available. This isn't a good deal but it has nothing to do with whatever you read somewhere else. Otherwise you could just post somewhere McDavid for Danault and then tell everyone that they can't get Danault unless they match McDavid because you read it somewhere.

So 5 points and -5 in 13 games is considered great? Bennet was solid in the playoff bubble last year. I think both of these responses are suffering from extreme recency bias
