Flyers rebuild kings rental
Is it really a rental when his 8 yr extension starts next year? Can't see Philly retaining anything, let alone 50%, for that kind of term.
Plus the return is terrible..........

A Forward And A Defenceman
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MaxBorjshlapsky</b></div><div>Toronto's fan base never fails to bring the laughs, take it from a Toronto fan myself.
The nostalgia for jvr and schenn is one of the best laughs in a while, 2 guys that played on the worst Leaf teams created in history are the exact same players they always were and only worse but the hype is real manipulator. We have a JVR in the lineup right now a soft big guy that can handle the puck and shoot which is engvall except he's a little faster, younger and cheaper but he plays in the bottom 6 where he belongs, he battles more than jvr and if he plays in the bottom 6 he will be less than useless. The Leafs don't need JVR I'd argue they don't need any forwards but maybe a top 3 D only if anything. The hockey media just wants to keep Leaf fans engaged with trade talks for Toronto I'm not mad just think it's reality it's a bit tacky but I think trying to find an elite defender is where it's at we have plenty half decent D already also, schenn isn't elite at all either.</div></div>
I don't think the Leafs should trade for Schenn either. As for JVR, he's a big game player, Kerfoot and Engvall are not. Leafs don't need hustlers and guys who bust their ass, they need finishers in crunch time. JVR can score key goals in intense moments.

Luckily for Flyers fans the headsman is coming for Fletcher. It's no longer a question if Fletcher can save his job, just when will the axe finally fall.

Given what the Jackets are looking for in trading out Gavrikov, it makes me doubt that Philly's giving away this guy for cheap.

Seel the deal
Not that I think Nick Seeler is pulling down any type of haul, but I doubt he goes for a fourth in next year’s draft. Maybe a conditional fourth that converts to a third, but Flyers are probably also looking at this year’s draft instead of next year’s.

So PHI gives 26 year old LHD and 2 3rds for 31 year old LHD with basically the same stats but worse defensively (krug is -26 vs Provy is -10)… cool

Provy is a more off season trade. One of two things need to happen, either you make a offer they can't refuse or they need to finally fire Fletcher and commit to a rebuild.

Gonna cost you more than that for us to retain on Kane, especially after ROR last night. I’d say either a 3rd or a 4th considering his cap hit is a couple million more

Chuck Trade Deadline
I think you'd likely get more for Seeler out of the Leafs. Not much reason for the Flyers to trade him at all for so little and he's already signed for a very manageable contract next season. With this trade, they might as well just wait.

Wild Deadline
I think their best offer for JVR is either 1) Greenway (+ insignificant filler piece) or 2) 3rd or 4th and C-ish prospect.
From everything that's come out of MN reporters, they've stated over and over that the Wild are only interested in JVR if he's dirt cheap / nearing on free.
My guess is MN gets outbid and he goes elsewhere.

Too much for JVR
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Windjammer</b></div><div>Wow. That's a lot of research that you put into that. Overall, I think it could be simplified a little, just to a pick for JVR. Pageau and Rakell are better players than JVR, who outside of a few goals, provides nothing useful to a team.
I think a 2nd maybe or 3rd for JVR 50% works. He's not really a needle mover for any team.</div></div>
He's actually been one of the few net positive play drivers on the Flyers this year. Highest CF% on the team (50.3%), 3rd highest xG% (51.5%) according to Natural Stat Trick. Pretty decent counting stats too for a team that looks so uncomfortable on the power play. If the cap hadn't been so flat over the past decade I'm sure we could find someone to overpay him. Though maybe we would have overpaid him more in 2018 then? Who knows. Either way, I'm much more interested in what this team is going to look like on March 4th and in October than I am for the team on the ice tonight.

The JVR Philly trade isn’t far off, and if you would add on a better prospect than Voit (who is a B- level prospect).
I think they should trade for Frost, as he’s a) a Soo prospect and B) his dad was the PA announcer for a while which would be cool.</div></div>
Frost alone is worth a 2nd, or a 3rd + GOOD prospect at the LEAST. Now, you're having philly retaining 50% while taking back a player they don't need in Kerfoot and sending them two junk prospects. Bad deal.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BadaBing</b></div><div>You want more than what was paid Jack Eichel. Never Happening. This is fair trade value for Travis</div></div>
First off, i don’t want anything. I’m not the flyers GM, nor am i even a fan of that team.
This is a joke of an offer for Konecny, and i don’t think the addition of knies and a first would bump it into more than eichel territory. Tuch and krebs were incredibly valuable pieces. Kerfoot and minten are not.
Having said that, yes, konecny should get more than eichel. Konecny doesn’t the health concerns, or the $10M cap hit. He’s playing as well or better than eichel ever did in buffalo. The Sabres had to trade eichel, the flyers don’t have to trade konecny.
