Considering we're icing a lineup right now that includes Christiansen, Gaunce, Meyer, Angle, Pyyhtia, and Malatesta...I'd take this.
It's become clear Elvis needs to go, if he's not traded it's got to be a buyout. I don't think this team is wildly far off, though, there's just so many young/new pieces that need to gel.
Must-go:
Provorov, Elvis
Can stay if they're not regulars in the lineup:
Olivier, Boqvist, Bean
People I'd like to see back in a bottom-6 role:
Nylander, Texier
NHL musts:
Jiricek, Johnson, Chinakhov
Roster locks:
Gaudreau, Laine, Jenner, Fantilli, Sillinger, Marchenko, Voronkov, Kuraly, Werenski, Severson, Gudbranson, Tarasov
If everyone is healthy, that leaves holes at:
Goalie (starter or backup, probably a vet), 2LD, 3LD...and that's really it.
The wings may need a shakeup, but who of Laine, Gaudreau, Marchenko, Chinakhov, Jenner/Voronkov, Texier, Nylander, and Johnson do we ship out then?

If that's the personnel we have, that's literally my ideal lines/pairings. We can't just LTIR Boqvist and Tarasov, but that provides a more accurate cap hit considering one of Greaves/Tarasov will likely be in the AHL and one of Peeke/Boqvist is probably traded. Ideally, Boqvist stays IMO (he's more versatile and generally better) and Tarasov gets dealt to anyone that will take a chance.
Sillinger has looked great, and you can't break up the Russian line. I think we have two legitimate 2nd lines going forward if that's what we're looking at. The 4th line is sneaky good, too, especially if Olivier goes in from time to time. If we get the right coach, Fantilli takes a huge step forward, and Gaudreau/Laine return to form, this could be a dangerous team.

Let's go! Love the second, third, and 4th lines if Laine keeps improving. Love the pairings, too. This team would be so competitive this year if games were only 40 minutes.

I think Marchenko is fair, but maybe Chinakhov, Del Bel Belluz or Ceulemans instead. Another Decent Prospect interests me more than a 2nd in 2025</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MoxNix</b></div><div>It'll take Marchenko</div></div>
If it'll take Marchenko, there's simply no deal. Chinakhov or Ceulemans, plus a defenseman, Sillinger, and a 1st, is equivalent to 3 1sts. Columbus as a non-contender isn't paying that, we may as well wait for the offseason and hope he's available as a UFA. That's really the end of the discussion.

Super excited to see how the Vronk-Fantilli-Marchenko combo works. They were great with Sillinger so you'd think they'd just be better with Fantilli.

A player struggling as hard as he is in his sophomore season doesn’t really get to be disgruntled about being sent down to the AHL. If that’s enough to get him to ask for a trade, good luck to the acquiring team.

Really all boils down to whether or not Lindholm is willing to re-sign, because there is not a chance in hell that Jarmo trades futures without knowing for sure that Lindholm isn’t walking out the door at the end of the year.

I really appreciate Voronkov's rugged style of play and see great potential in him. However, I believe it's important for fans to temper their expectations regarding his immediate impact. It's my belief that he will require some time to adjust to the new environment.
Ideally, Voronkov should spend a few months in Cleveland to acclimate to the North American style of play. When he eventually gets called up to the main team, starting on the fourth line is likely the best approach to ease him into the lineup. This will provide a valuable testing ground for his skating ability.
Before he can move up in the lineup or take on a center ice role, Voronkov will need to demonstrate his ability to anticipate plays and position himself correctly without the puck. This will be a crucial step in his development.

I like the idea of Sillinger and Chinakhov starting in the AHL. Let them dominate, get some chemistry, and bring them up if/when there's injuries. They could be a problem as a 3rd-line duo for a long time if they are developed correctly.

Beniers also played two years at Michigan and Fantilli only had one. I do think Fantilli is a similar player with even more skill, and could be in the Calder running this year, but starting him on the top line is a bit ambitious.
They'll feed him all the minutes he can handle. Time will tell how quickly he can adjust to the NHL. I'd peg him for 20-25-45 with about 16min TOI for his rookie year.

Give Blanks and Chinny some more money. It'd be a great problem to have if Tarasov earned some more cash too.
Switch LDBB and Vronk. Maybe Svozil comes in at the 3LD. I'd also replace Brindley with Malatesta.
To add to the excitement, they'll still have Dumais, Ceulemans and their 1st round picks from 2024 and 2025 pushing too.

I like those contracts and the lineup is pretty likely. I don't think Bjork will re-sign though, and Chinakhov will probably get a little more for two years if he's earned an NHL roster spot. Probably closer to 1.5mil.

Leo is definitely a blue jacket next year. If they used sillinger in his first season, Leo is basically an all around better and bigger sillinger.
Now we just need to add a center…. My hope is Kuzy. (2 years remaining on contract).

Roslovic needs good players to be good, he won’t carry a line. I do think if he skates with Gaudreau or Laine he will be a much better player.
All jokes aside I’d like to see someone like Bemstrom get a look with Gaudreau when he came over he was supposed to have this great shot, maybe getting him on the top line unlocks something, but it could also be his last chance to do anything with Columbus.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SlevinKalevra</b></div><div>Robertson doesn’t want a bridge deal. I don’t see him wanting one in a different city either</div></div>
Cause to your point, he ain't gonna be happy with a trade to a team that's just going to offer him what DAL is offering him. JRob would be fantastic, but I don't think he is the difference in turning CBJ into a competitor, particularly if we're going to hand him the kind of long-term money he wants; and if I'm making a trade to ship out my top kids, it's for a trade that'll do that.
For CBJ, that'd need to be for a bona-fide 1C or something.
