offseason
The value in s close to reasonable, but I can’t see the Wild interested in this. If Liljegren was a 23 version of Radko Gudas, maybe.

He’s been the Wild’s best defenseman for 10 years…Suter and Spurgeon included.

This is a Rossi trade I did a week or so back. I think the Wild would strongly consider this.

Minnesota Maple Leafs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>iAce</b></div><div>What is an acceptable return for Chesley? I don't even know, looking at the numbers he doesn't seem like a lock to be a stud in the NHL or anything. We just have no depth and I wanted to move JoJo. I understand the return might not be what you are looking for but the same thing that can be said about a lot of the prospects and making the NHL. You can pick between Lambos, Hunt, Peart and O'Rourke. We need to move 1 or 2 of them for help on the right side. They are all in the same spot developmentally so you can choose. I think Lambos has a higher ceiling and Hunt is closest to playing minutes</div></div>
Numbers don’t describe Chesley’s game. He’s a defense-first defenseman who also contributes auxiliary offense.
I think now he’s worth a late 1st.

Very good point! Another team taking on Foligno’s contract is more than enough compensation!

I can, but first off…your offer isn’t close! Johansson is completely washed up and O’rourke might never play with n the NHL!
I see Chesley developing into a league-average to very good 2nd pairing RHD. He’s a very good skater, has a very heavy shot, moves the puck fairly well, has piss and vinegar in his game, is as strong as an ox, and probably has more offensive upside than most people think. He would be the perfect #2 to Faber’s #1. Those two manning the right side of the blueline for the next decade+ would be terrific!

I wouldn’t mind having Duhaime back, but he isn’t worth near that much! $1million per tops!
Absolutely no interest in Gostisbehere…that’s just gross!
I have to think about that Marner deal more… I’m fine with the price, just not sure I want him in a Wild sweater.

Zero interest in Stamkos (for me) - but Bill Guerin is an idiot so I can actually see this happening.

This doesn't help them with the weak forward group.

Post Dead Cap 2025-2026 - Marner
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JayTea</b></div><div>MNBassman, as Zuccarello's #1 fan I figured maybe you'd know this. I know CF lists Zuccarello as being a LW, but has he actually spent any time at LW on the Wild? It seems like I always see him at RW. That having been said...
Kaprizov/JEEK/Marner
SOMEONE/Yurov/Boldy
Ohgren/Khus/Zuccarello
Foligno/Gaudreau/Hartman
Something like that. It's an expensive 4th line, but one that would probably be a pain to play against. Skip signing Clutterbuck and find a $4m LW to play with Yurov and Boldy, which obviously relies on Yurov being legit at center.
On defense, if Spurgeon can't handle 2nd pairing minutes you better hope it's because he's on LTIR.</div></div>
😆
I can’t recall Zucc playing more than a shift here and there on the left side.
That team you listed would be BY FAR the most skilled and the deepest team in Wild history!
