Coming off his best season but he's only under contract for this coming season. At most they could get a 2nd round pick.

So 5.5M and 6M per season arn't close ???? He is young enough to give him more term so not a big deal to turn that into a 6 or 7 year deal.

Also don't understand trading Abramov for Myers at all, considering Myers was loaned to the Marlies this season anyways.</div></div>
Maybe Robertson needs more seasoning then b/c I don't think he is ready for 2nd line duty just yet. That spot could be filled by Joey Anderson. He has been injury prone already in his short career and I'm not against trading him for someone proven. The Myers trade is done to circumvent the cap. If someone acquires him and buys him out, they save $600,000 on the CAP for the next two years. Myers was a healthy scratch and isn't worth 2.5M/year so it's a move to save more cap space.

If that's the case, then the Leafs can sign Myers at a cheaper cap hit. Maybe muzz doesn't go to the preds but I think he gets shipped somewhere.

Doesn't mean he won't settle for between $4-5 per season. You usually ask for more and settle for a bit less.

two new tenders
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>X27</b></div><div>Not bad, but I wouldn't sign Fleury at that price. It will probably take at least 3.5 million to sign Husso.
I also think Nicholas Paul at 3.5 is a bit steep. I am sure someone would pay it, but for a guy who is mostly a 3rd liner (albeit it a good one) that's a lot. I have him signed on some of my armchair teams but at 2.5 (and of course people say that's not enough, so really... what do any of us know right?).
I think it takes a bit more to get Garland. But I like the intention. He's certainly an improvement (with term) over Mikheyev/Engvall. I think you would have to add a draft pick to that deal... and I think they want a first, which would kill the deal for me.
I'd be more inclined to keep Muzzin another year as he was quite good in the play-offs and he has intangibles the Leafs can use. He had a rough year, but I am confidant he'll bounce back.
Otherwise the names on your team are good... just keep Muzzin and don't sign Fluery.</div></div>
I would rather Campbell over Fleury so if they can get him at the same money, I'd be happy. I think Paul is an improvement over Kerf and think you have to slightly overpay but he is in his prime.

Mrazek with a back loaded deal is better bought out. No one is taking him at a discount
Muzzin is not waiving for the Ducks nor would the ducks actually give up an asset for him and that contract.</div></div>
Husso may get more but he is around where Campbell was when the leafs acquired him. Hasn't proven he can be a starter yet. They may buy out Mrazek unless Dubas can get creative but he has surprised me in the past so I'm holding out hope. Ducks might not be a fit but they def. miss a physical rugged defensemen since trading manson. Either way, I would like to see Muzzin moved b/c he can't stay healthy and has lost a step. The pairing of Muzzin and Holl were brutal last year and I want them to move off of both of them.

I really don't think these trades are completely unreasonable. Maybe it takes a bit more to get some of these things done but simply saying its a "no" really supports your "I hate the Leafs" arguments. I could def. see the hawks taking on Mrazek's contract and the Comtois for Robertson swap is about two stalled players who could benefit from a change of scenery. Muzzin would fit in with LA like a glove, providing them with some veteran leadership for a team who are getting better. I could see improving that pick attached to the Soucy trade but both players have a year left and then will be UFAs.

Maybe you trade his rights then. The best ability is availability and Kase is too injury prone to help the leafs consistently. I'd resign Envall to a similar 2 year deal. Maybe a at $1.5 M per.

I think these deals are realistic and fair. If Toronto was willing to give up their 1st, I'd assume they would want to resign Klingberg to a new deal so they would need to be confident they could do that.

Tougher to play against
Keefe is not a bad coach and this team has played better defensively this season. Teams always have some dips and need to go through adversity. I think the biggest need for this team is a right shot defensemen who can penalty kill, hit and block shots. To me, Manson is a perfect fit on this team. Anaheim has a number of decent younger defensemen to sign and they aren't a realistic contender yet. This version would have an improved penalty kill adding Mason to your first PK unit and Appleton and Holl now on your second PK unit.

If I'm Toronto, I wouldn't mind adding to that deal. Maybe a decent prospect on top of the deal to get it done.

Smith is cheaper and cap space is gold for the leafs. Campbell has proven he is a number 1 so you don't need to tie up that much money in a backup.

Oilers certainly aren’t paying a 2nd rounder to help you move an injury prone goalie with term to make room for a Campbell contract</div></div>
Oilers need goaltending and when healthy Mrazek is arguably an upgrade on Smith. Maybe it's not a 2nd, maybe a 3rd or a 4th. But I don't see many options for the oilers to upgrade their goaltending with how tight they are to the cap.
