Islanders from a Rangers fans perspective
Tarasenko has had 3 shoulder surgeries over the past 3 years. It’s highly unlikely he plays at an elite level again - would rather play wahlstrom with barzal

Not perfect, its barely good... you have LAF on his off wing, you have Krav on his off wing, you have Howden and Blackwell still on the team some how.

LOL...184 games you mean 114. Kakko has very good underlying metrics and is responsible defensively and improved greatly from his freshmen to sophomore campaigns. Him and Chytil produced fine for 20 & 21 year olds in their 2nd and 3rd seasons while being sheltered and limited PP time. Buffalo isn't going to get what they want and other teams are going to have to give up more than what they want.

So youre gonna sign Granlund to trade him? Yea thats gonna get you in the good graces of players in the NHL in the future during free agency. BTW, Trouba has a no trade clause, so you cant trade him even if you wanted to.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OfficialTimpa</b></div><div>And if Zibanejad asks for more than 8 million, I'd let him go.</div></div>
Oh, we go back to what we were then, a team with 1 good center and no depth down the middle. Yep thats gonna work our real well. Let go the heartbeat of the club, thats genius.

Eichel to LA makes 0 sense. Why give up on the potential of a 1-2 of Turcotte and Byfield when Kopi regresses. In the meantime put Turcotte on the wing and I think Rienhart is the perfect fit for the right price.

How much better our team -- and I emphasize TEAM -- would be without all three of those trades.
In particular, six years of Ekman-Larsson playing at his current level at that cap hit would really be a millstone around our necks.

Kings don't want OEL, especially if it costs Kaliyev.
I think the Kings just need to sign another free agent top-6 winger and they can make a run with how weak the division is.

Eichel and Landeskog
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TrueCanuck</b></div><div>A #1 centre? Where? Strome is a #2 in New York and only cause he plays with Panarin. He's proved he's garbage with out him. He's no where close to a #1 centre.
That #2 overall pick has done barely anything in the league in 2 season. His value isn't high enough to be the centre piece of a deal for a player like Eichel.
Lundkvist is a prospect, he may work out and may not. There's no telling.
Georgiev is a career backup goalie at best. Buffalo already has a young goalie in their system who needs playing time that Georgiev should only hurt the development of.
It's a 1st round pick in a draft with so many unknowns that it has virtually the same value as a 2nd round pick.
It's a garbage offer. Eichel starts with Lafreniere or Buffalo hangs up. If you were a Sabre fan you wouldn't want this offer either.</div></div>
I am a Sabres fan. They aren't #1 on my teams, but they are easily 3. And think about, Strome doesn't have to be a #1 center anyway. Reinhart can play first line and Strome on the second. Strome has some great skills, and just because he's playing with Panarin doesn't mean he won't do well in Buffalo. The "proven garbage without him" was when he was still developing, and has taken some great steps. Just because he was bad in the past shouldn't turn teams off, especially when you see he was developing. Kakko is 20, and has shown a lot of potential, and has had a better year this year. Just because he hasn't been a monster doesn't mean he isn't good. Yes, Lundkvist is a prospect, but he's one of the better prospect in the league and that is what you would get anyway in a trade for Eichel. It's not like you are going to get Crosby, Malkin, and Guenztel for him. Georgiev absolutely has starter potential, he's been passed up not because he isn't good but because Shesterkin is even better. He'd be a great transition goalie for the sabres before they get to Luukonen. Finally, I'd argue a 1st is even better in this draft. While we don't really know where people are going, it doesn't make it a bad draft and i'd argue its a deep draft, and picking in the mid teens give the Sabres a lot of options. Just because it doesn't have lafreniere doesnt make it bad, and the sabres wanting much more than just lafreniere in that trade is outrageous.

Stop sending your garbage to Buffalo for a top 10 player in the game. If your offer doesn't start with Alexis Lafreniere, it isn't good enough.</div></div>
How are any of those players, other than Kreider, garbage? Buffalo is getting a king's ransom in the deal, a #1 center, a #2 overall pick, another good prospect in Lundkvist, A good goalie in Georgiev, who could be the starter if Ullmark leaves, and a 1st round pick to boot. This is a great trade for Buffalo, and I doubt you get many better offers than that. The one thing I would say could be changed is taking out Kreider for a Prospect, but otherwise its a great trade.

:laugh Zero percent chance of Kreider waiving his NMC for the likes of Buffalo, And Landeskog is staying in Colorado and besides he gets more then $7,250,000 try closer to $8,000,000 especially to sign in high tax New York State.

Yeah the Avs will probably offer Landy something like 6x7.5 so I don’t see that one happening. Also no way any top 6 veteran with a NMC-NTC agrees to waive to go to BUF in an Eichel trade especially if they have 3+ yrs left on their contract. BUF has got to be the least desirable local in the NHL right now.
