Nothing will go down until Sakic decides to sell low or Landeskog improves his play.</i></div></div>
And thats the Av fans points, just bc hes not scoring as much compared to other years doesnt mean he has low value, you dont over look his body of work so far in his career. The are the lowest scoring team in the league. 79 goals as a team, shut out 6 or 7 times already this year, No one is going to have out of this world numbers. They are struggling as a whole...so yeah he looks bad on paper.
But hes still doing what he does best, has a strong defensive game while being physical, with a bit of a bull in a china shop mentality of him. Thats where his value really lies and why he was drafted so high in the first place. Hes not an offensive driver but hes a heart and soul guy who is very good on both sides of the puck.
He is getting a lot of hate on right now bc people think the Avs are crazy bc look at his point toals, hes over rated, etc etc. If you watch him on the regular you really appreciate all the little things he does in a game so well. And those are the things that pro scouts just go crazy for, a team that is looking for their "shut down fwd" to match up against other teams big lines. Personally I would never wnt to move him but they have to do something and if he brings the most value back then so be it. Will always be a fan of him.
Never understood the boston connections bc you have Bergy, hes so much better in that role than Landy, but the combo of them would be awesome, especially in the playoffs trying to protect a lead, PK, all that jazz</i></div></div> ya nobody is going to have out of this world numbers because there is nobody on that roster that is out of this world good. doesnt matter who is coaching the Bruins they aren't splitting up Bergeron and Marchand for any extended period of time so Landeskog would likely be playing with Krejci

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>coga16</b></div><div><i>bc thats what Sakic is asking for? Landy is an eastablished good 2 way physical forward signed long term on a decent contract, he has value in all the tangibles. Everyone is up in a huff about Landy calling him over rated and etc etc, but hey we arent pro scouts and we are not GMs, so if that is what his rumoured trade value or perceived value to the Avs is to be, why are we to think any different?
Avs arent shopping him, but listening to offers for him. And if teams are interested like the Bruins are calling, the Avs they are sending out their wish lists since they dont have to move him. They arent moving him bc they dont want him, IMO they are just open to talks to see what teams are willing to be desperate to try to buy him from the Avs in a big deal
The only guy that you listed that is established is Marchand. Really its a gamble when it comes to any young prospect...Vatrano and DeBrusk are just that, young guys with potential so who knows if they really become top 6 fwds or established a well rounded 2 way game, etc,</i></div></div>oh give me a break, you don't win the Cup without a solid D- core. and Landeskog doesn't put Boston over the top. not even close. so why on earth would a team in a rebuild trade away their (top) assets for an average player which is exactly what Landeskog is, there is no specific great attribute to his game. he is a good player who received a bunch of attention for getting the captaincy at such a young age. but at the end of the day he is a 20 goal scorer. he's also having a down year which you could draw off the fact that the entire team isn't living up to expectations, but what does that say about him? does he need to be surounded by good players or on a good team to be noticed? because if that's the case he isn't going to be much better in Boston and it will probably stay that way because Boston will never get any better if they don't hold on to their young D-men now. a bubble team is all they are and that's fine. nobody is expecting them to really do anything because of this transition that they are in. all these pink hat bruins fans cant see that though because they are impatient and want the Bruins to be a contender in the east and they believe that when they watch them beat the blues in St. Louis but will come back to Boston and loose to a team like Colorado . Landeskog isn't a cornerstone player on any NHL team. Zboril, Carlo, and McAvoy definitely have the potential to be just that.
and ya I know Vatrano, DeBrusk, and Bjork aren't proven NHL players yet thats fine. but there potential is far greater than Landeskog's at this point. all Landeskog does if he comes to Boston is create a log jam for these young players. taking away cap space for there future contracts and more importantly, valuable NHL ice time.
through 29 games so far this year, he has 7 goals 6 assists and is a -10. No thank you we have plenty of those in Boston.

BAHAHAHA do you honestly think that you could get Carlo or Mcavoy out of Boston?!?!?! I can hear Don Sweeney laughing already! and on top of it you want a first round pick!! what an extreme over value of an average NHL left winger. Landeskog is'nt that good.

still dumbfounded why all these Bruins fans want Landeskog. ya hes a good player, but he does NOT put you at the top of the East. Boston has Marchand locked up long term, they have two high end LW prospects in Debrusk and Vatrano. LANDESKOG TAKES PLAYING TIME AWAY FROM YOUR PROSPECTS! Boston is in a REBUILD and remarkably its probably only going to take 3 years to completely reload the farm system. I wouldn't trade Landeskog for Carlo straight up Boston finally has solid young D-men coming into their own, You don't win the Stanley Cup with anything close to what Boston has on Defense now, So why on earth would you trade the Future for a position you are set on between Marchand, Vatrano, and Debrusk. Matt Grzelcyk is obviously not Bostons top D prospect but was Chralie McAvoy's D partner for most of his Freshmen year at BU, i'm guessing Sweeney is going to want to keep those two together and see what kind of chemistry they can bring together to the NHL.
please Tyson Barrie is Torey Krug 2.0
and on top of all of that you want to just throw in Ryan Spooner and a 1st round pick that will probably be in the lottery because Boston is once again in a Rebuild so yes you could say they suck right now. Bosotn should ignore Joe Sakic when he calls asking for half of our top prospects, Ryan Spooner and a 1st. you need to accept the fact that Boston is not a playoff team but in a few years if Don Sweeney has half a brain and doesnt yard sale our Prospects Boston will have an above average forward group lead by Pastrnak, Vatrano, Debrusk, JFK and Senyshyn with the leadership of Bergeron and Marchand. and Boston will have an Elite Defense with Mcavoy, Zboril, Carlo, Grzelcyk, Lazoun, and a handfull of dark horse candidates like C. Miller, C. Casto, R. Lindgren, J. Morrow, and some future draft picks. Boston is on track to be back as a contender in 3 years. be patient.

honest question, you keep on saying everyone is over valuing Landy, why is that,</i></div></div>Landeskog isn't worth the 13th and 14th overall pick in the 2015 draft, Joe Morrow and a 1st round pick. Boston has worked so hard and traded away key players to get the draft picks to get all these kids in the system. so now we trade them all for a player that doesn't put Boston anywhere near thee top. and there's no room for Landeskog on a team like Boston. Marachand is the 1st line LW and I know they want Vatrano to get a lot of time with Krejci on the second line. honestly do this trade if it were Duchene coming back.

Ya lets give up a top D prospect in Miller and an elite one in McAvoy, and hey why were at at lets give them Jake DeBrusk we only drafted him 14th overall. all for Landeskog?!?!?! you have to be kidding me. I hate all these teams where everybody trades away some of our top prospects for players that don't make Boston and contender in the east. Boston is in a rebuild so why on earth would they trade the future for anything that does not put them over the top. and here's just a little FYI, unless theres a trade that brings back some body with the last name of Crosby, McDavid, or Kane Boston isn't going to dismantle the rebuild they have worked so hard to build. I think Spooner, Krug, and a 1st would get it done in a high price tag scenario. good trade for both teams.

Panarin
and signing Panarin to a 7mil AAV, you would be giving up significant compensation to Chicago, something like your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounders for next year, and thats if Chicago doesnt match that offer, which they most likely would. so you would probably have to go above the 7.5 or even 7.750 mark to scare off Chicago. then youre talking abut giving up two 1st round picks with your 2nd and 3rd. but if you trade for him you could probably sign him for something like that 7mill AAV probably a little more but Chicago would definetly ask for something greater than compensation type picks, possibly a roster player (Krug, Spooner, Krejci,) prospects or greater draft picks. either way its going to cost Boston a lot.
the last thing Don Sweeny should do is tie his hands as far as the cap situation goes with all this young talent in the system, because in 2-4 years hopefully some of them will be good enough to be able to demand heavy contracts (Mcavoy, Carlo, Zboril, DeBrusk, Senyshyn, Grezylcyk, JFK, Vatrano) i could go on and on. long story short, this is dumb.
