It’s still the same owner ship and Holmgren is still around the flyers. Maybe he would but with that kind of disrespectful behavior from the flyers i doubt that a players who got pride would return there.

I doubt that Carter would be inclined to go back to Philadelphia. The way they treated him back then, make me think he would hold some grudge. They basically said that he wasn’t good enough to make the flyers a stanley cup winning team

Even with the Rangers, Pionk is better than Kapanen. Kapanen is a 3rd liner winger, Pionk is a top 4 RHD. Leafs have to add every single time.

Kapanen has proven he can be the 3rd best player on the 2nd line, nothing more. does he have 2RW potential yes but he is currently a 3RW that is fast and fairly solid defensively. Georgiev bascially took over the starting role in NYR this year from Hank. If you are going to talk about ones proven abilities you have to talk about both

imo toronto fans are some of the worse people they want to have this amazing team of players that they get from other teams but dont want to pay what theyre worth

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Pmwalker</b></div><div>You need to put these into context from the other teams side. These moves create bigger holes than they fill for a lot of the teams listed. Regardless of value.</div></div>
I agree with that, that’s why a lot of them say likely not available, however, sometimes on here people want the exercise of comparing value and not the actual hockey side of the trade.
For the record I agree with most of the valuations and can accept some teams might as well agree on the value and still not trade the asset.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PleaseBanMeForMyOwnGood</b></div><div>That is simply incorrect. People on here don't know how hockey is played. To have great defensive numbers, you need a full 5 man unit working cohesively in their own zone. TO hasn't and still doesn't do this consistently, and then they get scored on and idiots say its one guys fault. Learn how things work before piping off.</div></div>
His isolated defensive impact is not good. Why can't you just accept that he's not got in his own end? He's not a good one-on-one defender. His strengths are keeping the puck out of his own end.

The numbers absolutely do not support this. He's extremely overrated by leaf fans and Toronto media. I don't care how many Norris votes he gets.

weakness to strength
All i can do is laugh at leafs fans thinking they can trade for top-end talent and give their spare parts in return. The wild and edmonton trades are a joke. Leafs fans need to stop thinking they can just trade for whoever they want without giving up top end players from their prospect pool and their first round picks

To quote the other 1000 Minnesota fans that have posted on Dumba trade proposals lately, the only way you're getting Dumba is if you send back Nylander. You're not going to do that, so you're not getting Dumba.

You cant think the leafs can continue to get better players in trades without giving up assets like that. Look at the penguins, you have to give those up to get better. No reason for the leafs to be caring about their draft capital right now, least of their problems.
