Nah...Protas is fine where he is. Mantha should just be bought out.

I'd put Lundkvist over all those RHD.

Chinakhov played 62 games last year or else i'd agree with having him on here

Opening Night Roster
I think swapping Brown and Mantha gives the top 6 a bit more balance. I feel like Brown is the most direct Wilson replacement in terms of style, and the Ovi-Kuzy-Wilson trio has already proven to be very effective. If they wanted to try someone else there, I honestly think Protas would be the next best guy. He certainly earned a spot in preseason and looked pretty good with Ovi and Kuz last year. That would leave the forward lines as something like:
Ovi-Kuzy-Protas
Mantha-Strome-Brown
McM-Eller-Mojo
Sheary-Dowd-Hath

After Watching Tonights Game
I would put McM at 4LW and change the D pairings to
Nardella - Carlson
Orlov - Jensen
Fehervary - TVR
but I like this look a lot.

Pilut will beat Bryson for spot.
Anderson will be backup.
I doubt Quinn beat Olofsson from day 1.
Asplund will be in the lineuop over Hinistroza.

Anderson will be backup. From past experience I completely agree, but it would be great if Subban played well enough to be the back up.
It would certainly indicate GK would be much better than last year.
Malcolm had a very strong game yesterday stopping all 12 shots against.
He was considered one of Boston's top prospects when he was drafted.
I doubt Quinn beat Olofsson from day 1. While Quinn could find himself in the line up, Peterka would have to knock Asplund out of the line.
If Peterka could do that, the Sabres would have a much stronger forward line up than last year.
Asplund will be in the lineuop over Hinistroza. Or perhaps over Peterka.

More observations.
Brandon Biro played really well yesterday and at 24 he is an older Rookie.
He won 80% of his face offs, and his first goal was a top shelf perfect shot when he was surrounded by four flyers.
Over all a rather disappointing performance.
While two shots found iron there were only 21 shots and 2 goals.
Okposo, Girgensons and Mittelstadt had zero shots.
Jokiharju and Power need to get on the same page.
Owen took out Henri on Konecny's goal leaving Tuch alone on a three on one break out.
Over all Henri did not have a great night, but it was only one game.
