Bringing up Perunovich
Walman has played good and I think he’s the best return for guys that the blues would move, bortz is too much of a locker room guy to move. He knows his role and plays it well. He is the guy Clifford was supposed to be for toughness. I think perunovich is ready tho it’s hard to see a guy who won the hobey baker award be in the minors when every other team has had great success bringing them up as soon as they could.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hazard</b></div><div>That STL trade is a travesty. Way too much for Parayko</div></div>
You obviously don’t know parayko then. The leafs struggle defending and need a true shut down defenseman, parayko is the top guy in the league when talking defensive defensemen. Blues won’t trade him anyways and not for Marners cap hit.

Defence
Parayko isn’t going anywhere they just extended him and view him as their top guy on the backend. Marner is great but you’d be better bringing nylander to the table to go after scandella, walman, and maybe a draft pick if you want to shed cap and help the backend.

TDL w BOS and TOR
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PuckShmuck87</b></div><div>Bozak’s contract is terrible. I’ll take Backes back at $6M in order to dump Bozak at $5M. At least Backes might reintroduce some character to this team. Also, Maroon won’t be back next year so add the aging power forward and cut loose the aging 3rd center.
Tarasenko, to me, seems to be part of the problem with the Blues’ never ending malaise. When the team struggles, he disappears. He certainly does nothing to right the ship. He has huge value to a well-coached, well-constructed team. In St. Louis, he’s furniture. Trade him for something, anything. He’s not doing you any good on the roster.
Boston lacks the firepower to get past TOR and Tampa Bay. Tarasenko makes sense for them. They have the centers. If I did not ask for enough, what would you suggest?
Also, you may be able to buy Petro out of his NTC if you send him to a contender, especially if it’s TOR. He has friggin’ triplets to care for now and that’s his home town. Maybe that matters.</div></div>
Tank would be more of donato and Debrusk with first round draft pick. he's having an off year after shoulder surgery and everyone wants to ship him off. We can't do what we did to oshie and shatty again.

Offseason moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hockey44</b></div><div>Blues have horrible depth on defense and trading your best dman is not the right move. Especially since he's the captain. If any team in the central is going to get the bread man, its going to be Chicago. WPG doesn't need another STL depth player in their lineup, and you put way too much faith in BT considering its only his first year and hes been inconsistent. Also why would you add players to the center position if you are going to be drafting a top center?</div></div>
They have great depth in minors thats why you bring up Miko or Walman and get a vet in Zaitsev for him. Parayko is proving he can play big minutes and is more cap friendly. Also i dont think he should be captain so get what you can and dont let him walk like they did Shatty. Is BT thomas bc i think he has come into his game more and more as the season moves on. Also the only C i added was Brady who is a LW who can play center so Hughes could still play center but i think he needs a year to get bigger hes to small right now for NHL but only one year to develope and put some weight on

You still haven't explained how they got Marner? IF it was an offer sheet, then you have to give up the picks. If it was by trade for Petro you should put that in there.</div></div>
i replied already saying if they trade for petro they cant afford both matthews and marner so the blues go after marner since theyre deep at center already. as for skinner i dont think hes a consistent point getter and i think to make over 7.5 you should be scoring 40 plus a year and/or around 75 points a year. he hasnt broke that mark once.

SKinner is 6-7 range i dont think he stays like this all year plus its just one year of these numbers not like panarin or marner type numbers yet. also read the top it explains it everything you question. its all just what ifs

Yes but if toronto cant match a teams offer they may be in trouble. Mathews could be getting 12 a year if that happens i dont see them signing marner theyd end up like chicago 4 years from now having all thier money locked up in 4-5 guys.

i think they want more production from their back end and petro would give them that. hes also very solid D and can log ice time. also theyd be able to get rid of hainsey if they got him.

ive seen him play yes but hes just below marner in my opinion when it comes to the the market this year. i think marner will get a little more than him as for karlsson numbers with offensive defenseman matter and right now hes not producing.

Id say 8.5 for panarin max and Karlsson is struggling this year so that may hurt him. but also cost of living is cheaper in STL than most other big name cities( chicago, boston,NY,Canada) so the money goes a little further here

Schwartz is young and can put up points when "healthy" .if he gets back and at the deadline hes producing you need to make a move with him

the toronto deal is what the blues need most, speed up front. binnington only gets more if he wins the job from allen the rest of the way, i just picked the habs for steen but wherever he wants to go trade him for a pick, ott isnt out of contention so giving them 2 guys like schwartz and schenn would help them with scoring depth. as for marner this was saying in the off season if the leafs traded for petro they wouldnt be able to afford marner and mathews so i picked mathews for the blues being deep at center and i see the blues tanking for the top pick and getting hughes. the blues could have lots of money if they trade for picks and young talent instead of older vets like they usually do. and with Jblow coming off the books this year they could have a lot of money to spend in my scenario.

Very easy deal if i were Armstrong would be Petro for Zaitsev, hyman, and dmytro timoshov or Kappanen. this would be a deal to really strengthen up torontos back end and make them cup favorites

for Parayko youre not gonna get our draft picks with him. itd be him for marner strait up which is very cap friendly for the leafs or hyman, zaitsev, draft picks/top prospects like timashov or liljergen
