This is true, but if I had done anything differently, people would’ve complained that I got “too much for him”. Personally, if I didn’t publish this I think Garland is worth a late first-round - early second-round pick. He’s hard to play against and at a reasonable cap hit as well.

I don’t think anyone said that. Two completely different situations.

If everyone Canucks want to draft at 11th are gone, I can see them making this trade.

Dumba is washed... waste of another 5 million.</div></div>
Demko-Jarry would be an insane goalie tandem. When Demko inevitably gets injured, Jarry will be there to hold the net down.

A change of scenery can be all he needs. He is still impactful night in, night out on a sub-par Wild team. If he plays in Van, he can be a big piece especially alongside Hughes playing in a shutdown role. Canucks want to just make playoffs, this team gets you to playoffs.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Knuckl3s</b></div><div>LOL, haven't you heard that Lundkvist just made a trade request? He wouldn't be doing that if his development was going well. He's a bit of a wild card as an asset these days I'm afraid, not a sure thing by any means</div></div>
He requested a trade because he won’t be able to have a lot of ice time, being behind Schneider and Trouba on the right side. He requested a trade because of that, not because he sucks LMAO. Get ur facts straight kid, no one requests a trade because they are bad.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Knuckl3s</b></div><div>I know, he's been a PPG player since coming to VAN, but what GM is gonna pay Miller for past production? All of them if they can get their hands on the player? The soft trade offers that have been coming Vancouver's way suggest otherwise</div></div>
Nils Lundkvist is going to be a hood defensemen in the years to come. Him and Hughes on PP1 would do some damage. Even him and Rathbone could.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Knuckl3s</b></div><div>Then why do so many people claim that this past season for him was a fluke? Next off-season, Miller will be two years removed from his 99 point season. I don't think he'll be able to make as strong of a case that he's a superstar caliber player, if at all</div></div> Look at his stats the entire time he was in Van. Then come back to me.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Knuckl3s</b></div><div>LOL, how the heck would they still be able to have high demands? Think about it, a player showing regression who is pushing 30</div></div>
They saw what he did this season, they know what he is worth and will not budge from that number.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Knuckl3s</b></div><div>Not necessarily, if Miller shows any regression, it will just make him cheaper to re-sign</div></div>
Not exactly, Miller and his camp would still have high demands. The number probably stops $1m max.

Then you also gotta question how he performs next year? What as if he’s not the same Miller he was last year? Then you’re in a pickle.

If they trade him as a rental with 50% retention at the deadline there will be plenty of interested teams.</div></div> The price for rentals is a lot less than it was a couple years ago.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>alwaysnextyear</b></div><div>VAN will have more than a few good offers for Miller at the trade deadline. My worry is that they’ll be a bubble playoff team then and be tempted to not trade him.</div></div> Miller’s camp did say that they aren’t going to negotiate a contract with team after the start of training camp. So they can’t wait until deadline.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mv21227</b></div><div>Canucks already rejected that offer for Miller once, doubt they take it now. It lacks a quality second piece. Plus Lundkvist’s value has dropped with his trade request</div></div>
Miller’s value is also dropping, the timeline to get a trade done for him is the start of Training Camp. So, the Canucks after finding out there’s not much more they can get, will circle back to that deal and accept it.
