It's not a disaster and he's only 29 but as you said, he isn't a top pair guy. If he was, I wouldn't mind the contract. It's literally the one Krug had couple months ago.
Also, welcome to CapFriendly.</div></div>
Thank You, plan to articulate and gain good knowledge from the fans around me.
So is Hampus Lindholm a good choice would you say? Or do you guys stick it out until Dougie Hamilton is on the market. (Maybe even stick it out 2 years and wait until John Klingberg, and Seth Jones).

Trying to fit Hamilton
Hmm, What if Philadelphia waited until the next offseason when Klingberg, and Jones are on the market?

My personal question, and I've been thinking about this. I know Hampus Lindholm is risky because of the 2 years left on his deal, and maybe he does maybe he doesn't re-sign.
What if Debrusk for Fowler as a base deal. You get a guy long-term although not sure if he's a Top Pairing either.

Kane Wiesblatt Merkley and a 2nd for Zibanejad
Okay. Value wise offer is pretty solid.
:rangers
I doubt they give him up. I think they are starting to find their way, and realistically Zibanejad as their 1C keeps the window open a bit as long as you can keep providing pieces down the lineup. Evander Kane is a Left Wing. Artemi Panarin is already there I don't think the Rangers would wanna have over 18 Million invested in 2 Left Wingers, especially when one is not doing very well and getting drastically overpaid. Weisblatt in my opinion was drafted a little high in my personal opinion. I have seen a bit of him, and there is a ton of uncertainty with him and I doubt Rangers want to take an uncertainty player at this stage when they are trying to go for it. Ryan Merkley is really good, and quite honestly a Sharks future producer. I don't think Sharks would want to give him up either. Obviously the 2022 2nd Rounder is a pretty decent pick provided.
:sharks
I guess I'm ultimately missing the point here? That's a ton to give up from Sharks perspective for a 1C playing at 2C and all of that when Zibanejad doesn't seem to make this team a contender because the backend is still weak in terms of Defence and Goaltending. Just my opinion though. I'd be more inclined to see Sharks try to sell some of the older pieces yet not the top pieces they have within the organization to either get more draft capitol, or prospects for the future to build a new window in which the old one has already shut down in my honest opinion.

Boston seems like they would want to get more for DeBrusk, and Nurse has been complained about. Hasn't really lived up to expectation either. I'm not sure how a pairing of him and McAvoy would work, but it looks like Boston would get a better deal out of that. Boston would probably look for someone higher up in the market. For Edmonton too this leaves them completely screwed when it comes to defenseman. I've heard a ton of complaints about the guy, but he's not given enough credit for what he does on the Edmonton blueline especially when it's such a young core. DeBrusk brings a lot of wing offense, but the thing is Edmonton isn't having issues with offense they are having issues every time they have to dig the puck out of their own net.
It's interesting deal, but overall.
:oilers
Probably not going to make the deal due to this making the defense worse than it already is, and adding in unneeded scoring when they need to focus on the defensive end..
:bruins
Probably looks for a better option, a few better options that most likely aren't really for sale per say, but are definitely available if someone is willing to give up a good amount. Boston isn't in a position to give up a ton, but are willing to spend to fix that LHD spot when both Chara, and Krug both left last season. My guess is a guy like Hampus Lindholm/Cam Fowler on a team like the Ducks that are really struggling to find their way, and are well on the way to a full rebuild. I'd be interested in seeing if Boston is willing to give up a little bit of their future Vaakanainen maybe, or even Studnicka. (I don't think Boston would) Just strictly me guessing at this point what the cost would be for either one of them, but one of the two could be a perfect fit on a team like the Bruins.
