Purely an expansion draft preparatory move, Shesterkin is exempt and Georgiev will be protected

Lias was a dead asset. Love the trade. Don't see Lias beating out their stacked forward prospects.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Capitalfail67</b></div><div>Kuzy signed a bridge deal. Lmk if your boy ever breaks 70-80 points</div></div>
You're right he did.
Hischier isn't my boy, not a NJD fan. But Hischier hits 70 points within the next 1-3 years guarenteed.
This deal is a sliver of the cap, great signing

New Jersey Devils signed Nico Hischier (7 Years / $7,250,000 AAV)
He was drafted 1st overall two years ago and suddenly 7.25 is too steep of a contract.
Cant wait to come back to this thread in two years and laugh at the people saying its high

Cant believe the Senators managed to give so little for a top6.
Said it before and I'll say it again, Rangers GM should be fired.

Looks good for Sens at first but a 4th for a UFA that's probably not gonna sign after the season... I don't see a point in this. Rangers get cap space and 4th, extra body was to keep contract spots even. Team that might be last trades pick for rental in October... ok guess i just don't get it

When you have players that file for arbitration, after you either sign them to and extension or settle at the hearing your allowed a 2nd 48 hour buy out period...

Finally! There's the Engelleand contract. It was announced on July 1st but the term and AAV were not. There was clearly no where else he wanted to play. Great leader.

I remember him being an OK D prospect for the Rangers but he never even got a chance to play one game. So I hope he does something with the AVs.
