Columbus Blue Jackets signed Dean Kukan (2 Years / $1,650,000 AAV)
(-) player, doesn't put up points. Averages 15 minutes a night.. I think they could get the same production from a guy making close to league minimum. Bad signing IMO

Draft + Offseason
I like all 4 of your LW`s. I like Danault but more as a 3rd line C. Not sure Plecky comes back to be a 4th line C. On the right side, I like your #2 and #3. A. Shaw is a lot of money at 3.9M per year to be on 4th line. I would try to move him. He still has value. Lehkonen is super smart on D side of puck but does not give much on offense. On D, I like D1. D2 can Petry be better on D side? and can Fleury step in right away next year to play top 4 minutes? Alzner plays like a #5, not his fault he was given a big contract. Juulsen, I am a fan and he will eventually move up to top four in a couple of years. Good drafting.

Draft + Offseason
Montreal is drafting as high as 5th right now. Veleno isn't rated anywhere near there, and I have heard other center options closer. Even then, 5O.A. is still in the 2nd tier of talent and we should select the best available out of Svechnikov, Zadina, Tkachuk, Boqvist. I would even make a case for Hughes ahead of any of the centers... This is not a great draft for centers. Trade up using our 2nds and/or different Pacioretty trade.
Panthers are serious about Pacioretty, maybe Borgstrom + 2nd (32nd O.A.) + 1st (12 O.A. at the moment, draft best center available here, Veleno, Hayton, Lundestrom, Kupari)
Thoughts??

Montreal gets a 1st line C
Would be sick but this would mean that Sergachev would need to be signed to an extension a year before his contract is up because WASH would throw the kitchen sink at him when they got the chance just to spite the Habs for stealing Kuznetsov.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Snoova</b></div><div><div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DirtyDangles</b></div><div>$7,500,000 x 6 years = $45,000,000
$45,000,000 / 5 = $9,000,000
Therefore you must give up 2 1st's, a 2nd and a 3rd.</div></div>
you are right that is my bad. I changed the total amount of years so the contract is now only 5 years.</div></div>
Therefore I stay corrected.

Well in that case...
You now have a 3rd and 4th liner playing with McDavid. Good luck with that.

Off season thoughts?
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NobodyCares</b></div><div>
If your talking about Nick Ellis and Brossoit as being great prospects or literally any of the other guys you've drafted who have like 3.00+ GAA's and crap SP% I'd have to tell you they clearly aren't on the same level. Subban is outstanding every year in the AHL and just needs to breakthrough in the NHL. He has the athleticism to be a star, the guys your suggesting MIGHT grow into career backups lol.</div></div>
First of all, I haven't drafted anyone. Secondly, Ellis has a 0.922 SP vs Subban's 0.915 - in his rookie season. FYI, in Subban's "outstanding" 4-year AHL career, he's never has a 0.922 season.
Another Edmonton prospect in Europe has a 1.60 GAA and 0.944 SP this year. Dylan Wells is doing very well behind a weak Petes defence.
Maybe you should do some research before posting nonsense, so you don't end up with so much egg on your face.
