Tank for Jack Hughes
Make it a second and Dallas will take it otherwise I'm not so sure unless you make the pick lottery protected.
Kronwall Fair enough. You pretty much are going to need to pay to get rid of Kronwall in my opinion not a cap anyone is gonna wanna bite the bullet on. Even more it doesn't make sense for the Islanders because the Islanders have a solid defense, and it doesn't need another guy included.
Colorado has no business going for Howard. Varlamov and Grubauer are good enough for right now. If Jimmy Howard is going anywhere try carolina and maybe st. louis

Deadline Deals
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ItsBlowTime</b></div><div>That's a fair point on Del Zotto.
I feel like Edler would be good for Colorado though. He can eat a lot of minutes (for now) and provide at the very least, a more steady top 4 for the playoffs this season and, if he chooses to resign, a bit of a stop-gap while the Avs wait for Makar, Timmins, and Girard to really take the next step and become regular NHL defensemen.
He's a UFA and won't make 5mil again so the cap problems could be mitigated with a 2- year contract.
As for Sutter, it's my opinion that the young guns for Colorado (Kerfoot, Compher, and Jost) would be more suited for the wing until they can show they're responsible throughout all 200ft of the ice, and Sutter is a leader, Pk, and faceoff guy to kind of show the way, I'd be willing to eat a bit of his salary as well. Hell, I'd take on 50% of both salaries if it makes the deal go through.</div></div>
I think he is a good 200ft ice player however I'm not certain Colorado would take his Leadership role talents into consideration being as they already have a really good Leadership group in Colorado right now. As for Edler it might be difference in opinion I think the cap isn't helpful to them, but at the same time might be a good guy for filling out top 4 so fair point there.

Panarin Trade
Tampa passes on this. Panarin is going to want so much money it's going to be virtually impossible to sign anyone else. This is a 1-year rental not even worth that. That last reason Sergachev Sergachev Sergachev Sergachev. He at all possible should never ever be traded. He is an absolute beast who they have no reason to move at all.

That's what I would think, but you never know. In my opinion this helps Chicago upgrade basically. I think Briesbois is probably just helping Bowman out. Tampa does get an upgrade depth wise.

imo Blues don't take that Bozak is actually contributing to the team right now as for Okposo dead cap imo, but I see where your coming from with him being a Winger. Maybe if you do a higher up pick like a 2nd maybe the deal gets done, but with this I'm not so sure it would get done.

I don't think this fits New York Rangers plan because Carolina would want more prospects not players, but in this case you would probably want Vlad Hayes or someone I'm not going to give an exact offer.

I don't think Winnipeg is going to pay that much for a rental. Already you are giving up a guy imo Winnipeg shouldn't give up at all Vesalainen is a stud shouldn't be trade and I don't think Winnipeg would want to trade him. Duchene is a 1-year Rental so realistically you would have to add a Contract Extension, and Ottawa would have to add imo. Vesalainen is going to be better than Duchene, but that's just my stance on that. The first one that is just going to be something that will never happen. Ottawa isn't going to pay to take Cap Dumps it's just something that will not happen at all.

Retooling since Panarin and Bobrovsky seem to be walking
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BurgerBoss</b></div><div>I get your point, but I don't really see CBJ trading Bobrovsky to a team that could very well re-sign him for rental value. If it was for a certain playoff team with goalie problems but semi low cap, then sure, they'd probably pull it, but NYI doesn't really fit in that description - they have a load of cap left and they're fighting for a playoff spot. From a team like that, who might want to get strengthening in order to get to the playoffs, they could demand a higher price. This added to the fact that NYI is a division rival of CBJ, so it would make it even more likely for them to demand a little more than just a rental price...</div></div>
I do think that there are other teams in the Market that would be better fit as a trade partner for Bobrovsky imo. I just don't think 1 NYI you could benefit from being as this would only hurt the actual team, and 2 they are of course division rivals. I think maybe you can get away with trading him to Carolina, but in all likeliness would they ever give the fair value for Bobrovsky? I would think not so I think if he goes it's going to be in a Western Conference Team.

That's why I was saying maybe add a conditional pick or conditional picks just for if NYI does re-sign him.

Looking at it I don't know if this is ever going to make sense for New York Islanders. A solid scorer they need for a push. If they are going to get a goalie it is probably going to be Bobrovsky, but I don't think he extends for a dime under 10 Million he wants to have that Price type contract which fair enough, but I don't know if he deserves that, and I just don't think they will want to give up a guy like Eberle who is contributing with 19 in 38 right now. I think they would want to pay rental value for him instead because it would let them be able to have the chance of re-signing him, but it wouldn't hurt them as much to make the deal if it was for a year, and maybe they can think about re-signing him at the end of the year. Maybe with a Pick Condition on the trade just for extra value.

Yeah I know. I was meaning it looks like a solid trade, but it might cause cap issues next year. I know it happened, but if they try to re-sign him it might cause some major issues with the cap.

It looks good, but it might get Tampa into some cap troubles getting a 2.25M contract for a 800K contract if they are wanting to try and keep him. They can probably do some moving around with some cap, but I don't know if they are going to be able to sign all of the guys that need to be re-signed here soon.

Ideas
I think this is solid for Montreal because it sort of solves the problem they were having last night against St. Louis. You know you can never get too much defense, but at this point I'm thinking they are going to need to. Montreal is going for playoffs, but they are on the outside of the bubble. The problem is that Price can steal a game or 2 for Montreal, but it doesn't fix every problem they have. I think they are going to have to have a pretty busy TDL if they are going to make any progress trying to make the Playoffs.

Only thing I would see being wrong with this trade is how it effects the cap. Every buck counts for a team like Tampa especially when they need to re-sign a few guys like Brayden Point next year.

Philly most likely doesn't need or want Del Zotto they have had him before and it's just a situation like last time where you know it's tough for a guy to get ice time on a team that isn't his style, but there aren't really any teams imo that are his style of play anymore.
I don't think it's a move Colorado would want to do Edler doesn't really benefit just gives them Cap troubles in the long run. Same with Sutter, but maybe they want to trade Sutter or something.

Tarasenko to NSH
Tarasenko is getting hot right now. I don't think that they are going to be trading him anytime soon. The idea of him being traded seems like its slowly fading away right now. Even at that I wouldn't think the Blues would trade him to a Rival team.
