Tanev
LOL, I wanted to post a trade scenario with Tanev.
I really hope Nill will try (maybe he did) to get him.
The other dude is right. Anaheim will have to receive a sweetener to take the full contract of Faksa.

I think that's a fair trade for Tanev.

Faksa seems to be a guy that most insiders consider movable. I’m skeptical like y’all but that’s what I’ve read

Pretty reasonable offer for Tanev, but I don't think the Flames move him until the deadline if they move him at all

Pesce plus cap dump options

Gonna disagree with this. Bourque has way more value than Delly has. I honestly think Bourque + 3rd has the exact same value as Delly + 1st if not more. I agree that Marchement doesn’t make a whole lot of sense with Bunting now there

Focus on forwards

To be honest this is going to be their last year worrying about the draft so they might as well throw another pick in the stash and have some assets going into 2024 that they could trade for win now pieces.

Yep. Always thought he was one of the best captains in the league. Guess everyone is entitled to one bad moment, but he sure picked a bad time to have it.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sagecoll</b></div><div>Rangers decline. Not sure which fans are saying they’re ok with that (there’s a lot of less than bright ones out there). But Nils gets Bourque or Harley in return if we’re talking prospects.</div></div>
Why not Dellandrea? It seems to be a fair trade.
Age and draft position
Dellandrea : 21 years old and 13th in 2018
Lundkvist : 21 years old and 28th in 2018
AHL production
Dellandrea: 87 games with 27-32 for 59 points
Lundkvist: 34 games with 3-12 for 15 points
NHL production
Dellandrea: 27 games with 3-2 for 5 points (this playing very limited minutes on the 4th line)
Lundkvist: 25 games with 1-3 for 4 points
Lundkvist is stuck behind Fox, Trouba and Schneider.
Both teams fill a need and takes a chance on unproven NHL prospect.
I honestly don’t see a giant gap here. If there was one, Lundkvist would have played before Schneider.

Trying to approach the offseason like Nill
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ecupirate07</b></div><div>thats all fair. What would be the lower of prospect you would be willing to move and term for TDA, at this moment?</div></div>
That's very hard to say as it's depends extremely much on how affordable he can be. On a great contract I'd be willing to give up basically any prospect not named Johnston, Stankoven, Bourque or Harley. Those 4 I would not include to any negotiations, we're simply not good enough to be dealing our very best prospects. But at the same time if he's willing to take a good contract I don't see much reason for Canes to part with him.

Working around NMCs with Robo Max Extension
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ceeque84</b></div><div>Tkachuk never scored no 40 goals in a season before he signed that contract either. Dallas is crazy to not lock Robertson up for 8 yrs now. 8x8.
They should probably give Oettinger more term as well. Friedman said on 32T that he sees Dallas signing them both for as many yrs as possible.</div></div>
From the Stars perspective it makes much more sense to sign him to a 3-year deal. It essentially guarantees 11 more years of contract control on Robertson, by making him an RFA when the 3-year deal expires. Sure, an 8-year isn't the worst thing in the world for the Stars this offseason, but the absolute best option is a 3-4 year deal, allowing Dallas to then sign him to his 8-year contract after it expires.
Same goes for Oettinger. Sign him until he's 25-26 years old & then maximize his contract.
