Buffalo Sabres signed Sam Reinhart (2 Years / $3,650,000 AAV)
Solid deal. He can prove himself with this deal, he can show if he can keep up the production of the 2nd half of last season and at the end of the contract, he's still a RFA. Buffalo really seems to be on the way up. Hopefully at least, they have some nice players there.

2016 Re-Draft
I really like this Draft-Redo, but with one exception and that is the first two spots. I don't want to get into an argument on who's better, Laine or Matthews, but from the Leafs point of view, why would they draft another winger? Their center depth before Matthews was Kadri - Bozak - yeah, that's it. You could've player Nylander or Marner at C, but both of them aren't as good as Matthews at D. So why add Laine, another great forward with questionable defensive abilities to the team? That just doesn't make any sense to be honest. But other than that, great draft, really like Mete & Bratt moving up.

lol at boston if they trade pasta
Solid deal for Staal, even though it feels like Arizona should get more in this trade

Duchene. Are you still an av?
Good idea, that Duchene goes to Carolina, but I think, Bean and a first is not enough to pay Colorado. I got nothing against Bean, but I think, they would have to throw in Fleury as well in the trade to make it go through. Duchene is a legitimate 1st line center, only 26, his value is skyhigh and rightfully so. And as much as it would hurt, Carolina can afford to give up Bean and Fleury with their stacked defense.

WHY NOT?
That would be a horrible trade for Tampa and there's no way, they would give up Kucherov, one of the best forwards in the NHL, for a good, but old winger in Oshie with a terrible contract and a late first round pick. WSH would have to give up a lot more. Something like Burakovsky, Wilson, Oshie and one or two firsts for Kucherov and let's say Callahan for some cap relief. Sounds like a lot, but Kucherov's trade value is sky high at the moment.
