go wings

I see what you’re saying, but also the wings haven’t drafted that highly in so long to get a good enough guy to put into the lineup.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jfstompers</b></div><div>dekeyser and larkin went right into the line up and have never played an ahl game. these aren't the cup winning buy all the ufa wings anymore. if hes good enough and with this line up he is , he will be.</div></div>
I wouldn’t really use Larkin as an example for this. He never went to GR, but he did go back to Michigan for a year after he was drafted.

It all good man. I’m the same way as you. I can talk about hockey trades and cap for hours. Let me know anytime you got some trades that involve the wings and I’m 100% there (;

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheTinkler</b></div><div>Its fair I just really prefer to get into discussions on this website about how to adjust trades or how it could go down and i love it when the convos go forever even if i end up being wrong but sometimes on here it feels like people jump right to insults and low ratings instead of discussions but yes i think they can avoid a rebuild 100 percent and yeah that first deal was intense i was hoping someone would come in and debate and negotiate it lol but thanks.</div></div>
Yeah I get that. And I'm down to have a discussion, that why I replied and said nothing insulting, just that I disagreed with your trade, which is why the rating system is there; to give my feedback on the team/trade. I didn't come in here and call you a moron or anything, and if what you put the other trade on there I would not have given it a one star. No harm meant brother.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheTinkler</b></div><div>I disagree maybe giving up bpqvist could swap him for someone else in that system but the truth is he is better than any defenceman on your team and would help improve that team right away without losing a roster player and one star for that lol wake up.</div></div>
Well first Chicago isn't my team haha. But you have to remember that Chicago just finished in the bottom 10 of the league. I don't know if they need to do a full fledged rebuild, but they're just simply not going to give up that much draft capital when they aren't a playoff team right now.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheTinkler</b></div><div>you could swap boqvist for jokiharju and maybe remove a 1st and turn it into another 2nd</div></div>
I think this is a lot more reasonable, still don't know if it happens, but who knows what happens because it seems like Ottawa wants to package Ryan with Karlsson, which really diminishes the return. Sorry to upset you with the rating, but the first trade was atrocious.

There is absolutely no way that Chicago gives up their first round pick from this year in Boqvist, two future first round picks, a 2nd round pick and another prospect for Karlsson. That price is far too high.

Carolina Post Faulk Trade
As a Wings fan, I thought it would take Athenasiou and a 2nd to get Faulk. Swapping Ericsson for Mcginn would be a big positive for the wings. I would do this trade, but I have a feeling Carolina may want more

EK - It's a stupid idea, but I'm doing the math.
I’m confused. Why would the Wings give up any pick just to take on someone’s contract who won’t play again? Doesn’t make sense

DRW No Zetterberg
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jfstompers</b></div><div>I think they should have had it done before stone got his. stone getting 7 plus could get larkin more money when they probably could have had him done at around 6 or 6.25 a month ago.</div></div>
I don’t think that Stone contract should have much influence. Larkin put up one more point and four less goals than Stone, while playing 24 more games than Stone. While I hope Larkin is a big part of the future of the Wings, you can’t (currently) compare the two, because Stone had a much higher points per game average.

DRW No Zetterberg
Absolutely, I personally would almost prefer Larkin to get a bridge. There just hasn't been much discussion in the public's eye when it comes to his contract about how much and how long. Just personally I would feel uncomfortable for signing him long term for anymore than that 5.25
With Zetterberg (and Larkin too), only time will tell. To me, it just seems that if he couldn't practice the whole second half of last season, he can't be in the greatest of condition. Not saying he didn't play well by any means, but I'm sure his back is only going to get worse from here on out if he keeps playing. I think he just may retire in order to keep his body in the best condition possible for his life after the league.
With all that being said, I'm excited to see how this year plays out, and am very hopeful for the future!
