Hey, I'll take it. I was like 12 years old when that all happened, so I'll apologize that my memory on all of that is a little fuzzy. The general sentiment of that whole comment still stands though. Stan ****in sucks 😂

Also <a href="/users/Beetlejuice" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Beetlejuice</a> in what ****in world is Strome worth as much as Brodin? No one is gonna take on Nylander (another classic atrocious trade from Stan). Billy ain't cleaning up Stan's mess. And Greenway reminds me a lot of Buff from that 2010 run at forward. Crashes and bangs bodies, and he's a big boy that can put the puck in the net when called upon. I wouldn't do Brodin for Strome straight up in a billion years. Add taking on the bad Nylander, and also giving up one of the top young players in the Wild organization? Very wishful thinking.

Read down like 2 comments, genius 😂 already addressed that. And Tallon was fired like 2 days later and Hossa was signed before the 09-10 season, which was Stan's first as GM. Not unreasonable to think that could've been a Stan pickup, but I corrected myself

Actually, Hossa was even a Tallon pickup 😂 Stan made a few solid depth pickups, but those aren't the players that won them cups. Certainly contributed, but nowhere near the level of contribution that the guys Tallon brought in did. It's the house that Dale built, and Stan has let it fall apart and get dilapidated

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Beetlejuice</b></div><div>Dude you can't say a GM who's only been assistant GM is better than a 3 time Stanley cup champion GM in Bowman. Sure the 2010 cup can be credited to Tallon but 2013 and 2015 was Bowman. Stan has made very good trades and bad trades. Stan is also very good at drafting and signing FA.</div></div>
Ahh yes. The guy that made the *checks notes* Panarin for Saad and Vermette for a 1st trades is a real genius 🙄 The Hawks core, which was entirely drafted/put together by Tallon except for Hossa (which was a hell of a pickup, but you can't tell me Stan is a genius for that. Plenty of teams went after him, and it's not hard to go after a UFA of that caliber). The players are vresponsible for all those cups. Stan is lucky he didn't **** it up sooner, honestly. And then he has the first opportunity to pick in the top 3 since they got Kane and Toews and he picks ****in Kirby Dach 😂😂😂 Stan is not liked by just about anyone in the organization except ownership and has made a career off taking credit for Tallon's work and surviving on his dad's name. Find me one GM aside from like Peter Chiarelli that wouldn't have won multiple cups after inheriting that roster...

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Wildwinswhen</b></div><div>You're also way overpaying on Haula. I think we could get him for 2x3.5MM if we wanted right now. But, he's a third line center at best these days. Remember that he got run out of town in Carolina. The Vegas season we remember was 3 years and two major injuries ago.</div></div>
Still a 30 goal season and he was on pace for over 30 during his time under Torch. The kid can fly, and given the right situation, he can score a whole lot. And don't discount his defensive ability too. I know it was 2014, but the way he shadowed N8 Mac in the playoffs and shut him down was legendary. I think 5 is reasonable for a 2-way guy that can put up 20-30 easy if he stays healthy and is allowed to play his game.
