I predict a quiet offseason
I am not convinced of that. Could have been a very different result this year if we didn’t draw the Panthers in the first round.

I watch everyone there buddy. If he has so much value, why wouldn’t we trade him for some immediate help on the Tampa roster? Or even use him on the Tampa roster?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AntiAnalytics</b></div><div>Maybe not
But Finley would lose value with us being stuck behind so many others & he’s likely to never get a good shot with us even
I think we’d want a pick
And if he’s as good as u say, then u guys don’t move him in a deal like this anyways</div></div>
I don’t think Finley has really any value at all.

Speculation time
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LordStanlersCup</b></div><div>they keep saying an expected date that he will be back ie. the duration of a specific roadtrip or homestand and keep pushing it back. Whether it is because they reevaluate and decided he is not ready or think he might be involved in a trade is yet to be seen. My question is if not jeannot then who and do you think they are going to just let stamkos walk for hanifin?</div></div>
It’s a pretty ruthless front office. Signing Hanafin gives them a better chance at winning cups for the next few years then giving stamkos a big contract in my opinion. I think with there current talks with him there pointing to the generous contract Bergeron has taken last year. Not saying it will be that cheap, but if he wants to stay it’s going to be a smaller deal. I think they get Hanafin and Stamkos signed though eventually.

Speculation time
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LordStanlersCup</b></div><div>Jeannot has been expected to return for awhile now, it could be the case that they dont think he is ready to return yet but it seems like an awfully long time. The only other roster player that I can think of that would be expendable is Perbix. Raddysh just got an extension, they wouldnt want dehaan, fleury, sheary, glendening, watson, motte. I guess eyssimont could be possible but I really hope they dont trade him and I dont think other teams would value him as much as Jeannot or Perbix</div></div>
That’s incorrect, Jon Cooper said the other day there taking there time with Jeannots injury and they don’t want to rush it.

Speculation time
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LordStanlersCup</b></div><div>Im not so sure about the offensive potential but I am just speculating here based on what information we have. It seems weird they would pair him with kuch and pointer, no? I dont recall them having done that before and he would have to go if they want hanifin and stamkos anyway</div></div>
He was only on that for practice because stamkos was off for a body maint. day. Jeannot is still hurt so I am assuming they just put him on the line for practice to fill a spot.

I don’t see them moving Jeannot. He’s been hurt a lot but he adds something to the team, he’s a true heavy weight and has some offensive potential. Maybe something at next years deadline if he’s still struggling, but I don’t see it happening. Paid a large price to give up this early.

Unfortunately I think flames fans are going to be really disappointed in the return. Time will tell.
