Two former first round picks that look like they'll be top 6 players. Let's stop acting like they're bums. They just took STL to game 7 who went to the WCF. Have fun being a cellar team again in 2016.</i></div></div>
Kapanen has played 9 NHL games with 0 points.
Schmaltz has played 0 NHL games with 0 points.
How on earth are these guys top 6 quality in 2016-2017?? lmao They've yet to play half a season!!! lmao

Maybe/Maybe Not Leafs Roster
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jordant89</b></div><div><i>As per Alex, my thought process- Bozak played college hockey on Colorado so be will be a good fit for the area. The Avs to have a lot of Centres under contract but with small cap hits the others can be moved easy. The trade opens cap for the Leafs and gives them a serviceable goalie for the Leafs or Marlies and Bernier can be moved. As Per Hutchison Gardiner will be traded it is just when.. with expansion draft 3 D can be protected, Rielly, Zaitzev(years pro in Euro count) Then if the Leafs trade for a skilled vet Gardiner will be unprotected therefore should be traded.</i></div></div>
Doesn't matter if he played in Colorado in college, Avs don't need a C nor would he be in the Avs top 3 C (Duchene, MacKinnon, Soderberg>>>>> Bozak). To say that they trade to gain Bozak to then turn around and move an existing C doesn't make much sense as the C they have (and the cap space the team already has to begin with) are affordable as is

HAHA clueless.. you are aware the bottom 14 teams are all lottery teams under the new system.
That being said, with Panik, Schmaltz and Kapanen in your top 6 means CHI are a lottery team too lmao
You know what that team won't be? A lottery team like your Avs. You know what that team will be? As for the EDM trade, it seems to work. Personally I think Nurse is a bust and considering this is a deep draft, Myers and the 22nd >>>> Nurse and the 4th

I get that but that trade makes them worse. I think Shattenkirk is a good player and a 4.25mil cap hit for a #2-4 D men is a fair price. I don't get why they want to move him in the first place

Shattenkirk deal doesn't go through.
St. Louis is a playoff team looking to be a strong Cup contender. They don't move Shattenkirk for a surprise bag of 3 prospects, they move him for a starter + pick (they need 1 NHL ready player in return).
Also you really undervalued Bozak in that trade. There are probably 10 NHL teams willing to give you at least a 4th rounder for him (probably 6-7 teams would give you a 3rd)

No chance MAF is getting you the 6th overall pick.
Think more closer to the Van-NJ trade (Schneider for the 10th overall). Except Schneiders trade value was higher (good season, younger) and MAF is older and had concussion issues (not good, especially for a goalie).

Mark my words, Tampa Bay will regret keeping Vasilevskiy instead of Bishop.
Vasilevskiy's trade value is soo inflated at this point, you should be moving him ASAP.
10 years from now Bishop's career numbers will overshadow Vasilevskiy.

Montreal Canadiens: What it would've looked like
I get your point but at the same time your point is NOT valid.
Sure this roster looks MUCH improved, but look at your cap space $-17,532,000. Even if Montreal did draft differently you still would not have this roster because you are EXTREMELY OVER THE CAP!!
You eliminate Perry, Kuznetsov and McDonagh and you are still OVER the cap and your roster would be pretty much the same as it stands today.
