top 10 centers
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bsilk18</b></div><div>You are entirely correct that he is an amazing goal scorer, I mean 30+ in his first 3 years is terrific! But looking at his leadership, defensive play, and just watching his play on the ice, he is not a top 7 center. Maybe top? Sure!! But no if anyone thinks he is better than Bergy that is entirely wrong. Bergy excels in every aspect of hockey, and unfortunately he is getting older but at least this year still he is top 5</div></div>
I would say he is at least in the same class as Bergeron. I totally see how Bergeron could be viewed as better. he is a much better all around player. but I think Matthews goal scoring really puts him over the edge. he could wind up as one of the best goal scorers of all time based on his skill shooting the puck.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bsilk18</b></div><div>Well this is bad... The NHL fans have agreed on the top 5 being Mcdavid, Crosby, MacKinnon, Barkov, Bergy..,. After that its up to you. But only leafs fans think Mathhews is top 5, and Drai is currently a LW</div></div>
draw point is fair, but I think Matthews is overacted by leaf fans but also underrated by non leaf fans and it will never really be even. the guy is on pace for almost 50 goals this year. he's taken major steps as a playmaker too. his defensive game needs work but I think he is for sure in the top 5. would say he is better than Bergeron for sure.

Consider Josi, Jones, Pietrangelo, Klingberg (though he's having a down year), hell even Weber is back to his old ways and absolutely killing it</div></div>
ya fair enough. I was factoring recent performance more heavily, but I could see josi or jones in there over him.

there is a good chance this is millers last year, and his last chance for a cup. Toronto has had its struggles this year, but it gives him a better chance to win a cup then Anaheim. a trade in February for a few months might be worth it for him.

I think thats true, but getting rid of the eaves contract is incentive for them to move him. Ceci might be the worst player of all time, but at least they can pay him to play for the team instead of paying eaves to do nothing
