Pens TDL
Disagree, he's tough as nails and skates well enough for a limited role. Pens don't have any pushback with their current roster, they'll need some sandpaper come playoff time against any team in the Metro or the Bruins/Tampa if they get to ECF.

Lets go pens
Anaheim has 3 wingers that would all be great for the Penguins, (Rakell, Silfverberg and Kase). Interested to see if any of them end up getting traded. I do think the Pens can get Kase for less, maybe Galchenyuk and Hallander alone or Galchenyuk and a pick. Giving up a player, prospect and two picks should net someone like Zucker or Rakell.
I do think the Pens should go after Derek Grant as well given how injury depleted they are right now....they need a top 6 winger, depth center and a depth defenseman. Yikes.

Minny Need help soon
I love the idea of Foligno and Zucker to the Penguins, two crucial type of players they could use.
I'd go Zucker/Foligno for Galchenyuk, Hallander, 1st (2020) and a 2nd (2021) round pick.

pens - winger options
Per the note above.....
I agree, I think Smith is pretty underrated and he's always been consistent. With 87 I bet he'd be a threat in the playoffs, plus he can skate so well which is the Pens identity.

Hoffman available for a hockey trade Schultz
I like your trades here and I love the idea of the Pens getting Zucker, I think he's a consistent 60 point player if he has 87 or 71 as his center. Especially next season and beyond if you can pair Guentzel or Zucker with Sid and Malkin, that gives you two lethal scoring lines.
However, If you move Schultz then your 3rd pair is awful with two left handed defenseman, they would get exposed in a 7 game series against anyone. I'd keep Schultz personally, he's in a contract year and he'll be motivated to step up down the stretch here.

Pitt deadline
Agreed that Pearson still has value and some upside. My point here is the Pens have a 2 maybe 3 year window to win another Cup with 87/71 so GMJR has every right to move whoever he can to bolster the club come playoff time. If they move Pearson now they get an immediate upgrade in Dzingel making them better off for the playoffs. Also, they clear $3.75 M in cap space for the summer that allows them to re-sign Pettersen, ZAR, Riikola, Blueger, etc. Unless the cap jumps up $3M they will need to move someone out anyways come summer time. Might as well roll the dice on a player having a monster season in Dzingel.
