Ottawa ONLY drafted team
the D depth took a dive really fast, otherwise pretty good team.

Yandle fell off a cliff this year, and a financially strapped team would love to replace him with a Top6 controlled RFA replacement contract in Domi after a down year - no?</div></div>
If you call falling from 62 points to 50 falling off a cliff, I seriously worry about your ability in valuing assets.
Yandle have more points than Domi this year...

I dont understand all the hate.
That is a serious package to give up.
Also, didnt the Panthers owners tell management to shave $10mil + in salaries?
And there are reports of changing up the core.
Maybe I'm just a biased habs fan, but I like this deal....

Buddy, still no, Huberdeau has Value that is Increadably Close To Kucherov(Witch Means He could Basically Get you Anything) As Dumb As Dale Tallon His he breaks the phone to MTL is he hears that offer, Yandle is still serviceable, Domi Has Declined HARD, so has KK, That First atta be something good. Lehkonan is Esh. That still wouldn’t get Huberdeau The Price Would be Caufield 1st and Mete
And When he means that, It ain’t Huberdeau and Barkov in that, It’s Most Likely Hoffman, Dadonov, Ekblad, Weegar, Connolly ECT, not those 2, there the ones that their Building off of

This is HORRIBLE, Huberdeau Starts With Caufield. And you add Yandle to the wound on that Domi Trade
Why the Vancouver Trade though. A Vancouver says no. They can survive on the Erickson Deal. They in no way in shape need or will take Byron. Sven idk. Yet again MTL passed on him, I like Lind Better than Tesedale. Crawford ain’t Going To MTL to Backup. Koivu VERY Doughtful he goes to MTL

I'd wager it's going to be higher. He knows he's not a 10 million dollar player but back to back 30 goal 70 point seasons and he's still 24, he's going to ask for 9 mill a season I'd wager. He wants to be a start and will want proper compensation.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HabsForEver</b></div><div>We could always use help in Laval, if Bracco proves not to be a good enough 3rd liner, he's still an Elite AHL player. Kapanen would be the perfect guy to play beside Kotkaniemi on the 3rd line. Ceci would be the 3rd line replacement (Move Fleury up). And the 2nd round pick doesn't hurt.
I agree we shouldn't trade Leskinen, but value wise, this is a fair deal.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>destrxtr</b></div><div>Montreal has tons of LD upcoming prospects so trading Leskinen is a no brainer to shore up the scoring in Laval with Bracco.
Kapanen gives Montreal another viable young top-9 scoring threat. Romanov will be ready to play top-4 time next season replacing Ceci.
Ceci finishes the year as a Hab trying to rebound boosting his value next year as a UFA.
Both teams are trading from a surplus position to fill holes.</div></div>
From the leaf's perspective, this is a fair trade for both sides but I would prefer the 2nd to be a 3rd although not a deal breaker IMO.

If the Habs had a guy with similar stats/age/contract status as Kapanen and Bergevin traded him for a 32 year old dman with 1.5 seasons left at over $5M you'd likely be pretty pissed about it no matter how good that dman was.</div></div>
Not if my team is a true contender. Montreal is far from a stanley cup contender. The maple leafs are a much better team with petry on their blueline. Thats the reality of the maple leafs. They are in their stanley cup windows. And with only 14 millions for 13 players next season this years might be déterminant

Not sure where you’re goiing with that but Petry is on pace for another 40+ season, averaging over 23 minutes a night. He skate extremely well, he as size, have a active stick, have one of the hardest shot in nhl. I don’t know where or on what you based you evaluation of petry but he have the same value that muzzin had last year at least.
