As of today, there is probably small chance that Adam Nemec will be a first rounder, not a top 16 player. He profiles more as a second rounder, possibly even a third rounder. There is a chance for progress, these are still very young guys, but there is nothing special about him, he is not dominant even in Slovakia, not in the World. Tomas Chrenko has a better chance. Really skilled and creative player. Also, Vladimir Dravecky is a stud and will probably be in the first round. He's a bit like Simon Nemec 2.

this draft will be the best since 2015. So much quality in the top 10. I don't think any defenseman will be in the top 10, there are a lot more talented centers and wings.

Good job. I think Kulich and Mesar are still pretty low. They both deserve the end of the first round. I agree with the top 10, although I would probably exchange Slafkovsky and Nemec and Savoie will probably go lower.
Will you do the ranking then also for 2023?

2022 Rankings January Update
Really good raking. But i continue to think that <strong><em># 157 Jakub Kopecky</em></strong> is not a player for the draft. Although, I have to admit that he made a bit of progress, but I still think that he is not among the 224 players in the draft and at the moment he is not even among the top 10 slovak forwards suitable for this draft. As I said last time, I have nothing against him personally.
These 10 forwards have a performance and a potential ahead of him.
Tier 1 - 100% drafted
1.Juraj Slafkovsky
2.Filip Mesar
Tier 2 - 90% drafted
3.Servac Petrovsky
4.Adam Sykora
5.Maros Jedlicka (D+1)
Tier 3 - 25% drafted
6.Alex Sotek
Tier 4 - almost certainly be undrafted, but, they are still before Jakub Kopecky
7.Peter Repcik (bad first half od the whl season, only a great second half of the season in qmjhl can change that)
8.Adam Zlnka (knee injury and will not play until the end of the season)
9.Patrik Gabriel (in the national team shows big potential, probably incorrectly developed in the club)
10.Pavol Stetka (plays only czech junior league)
Tier 5 - undraftable
Jakub Kopecky, Jakub Krizan and etc.
Draft stock of # 205 David Natny also dropped from the start of the season, and I can say that he is no longer considered a draftable player. Maybe next season, he has tools and potential, but his current season, apart from HGC, is weak..

2022 Full Seven Rounds
Really nice work. I always like your rankings, it will improve the overview for me personally. The only one I still disagree with is Jakub Kopecky. I saw him play in a tournament recently, I don't see a player with a potential for a draft in him. But I'm glad you noticed Maros Jedlicka. The WJC will be important for him. I'm personally curious about him.
Jiri Kulich from the Czech Republic would also deserve more attention, in my opinion he is a player at the level of the end of the first - the beginning of the second round at the moment.

Full Seven Rounds 2022
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BruinsFan35</b></div><div>christianyog Dzinger18 deto</div></div>
I really like it. I agree with the first round, I see it similarly. I still don't have a good overview of the other rounds.
From the Slovak Perspective, I like that you already have Jozef Viliam Kmec in the updated ranking.
However, in my opinion, one name does not belong to this ranking and that is Jakub Kopecky (#121). Bad and slow skating, below-average stickhandling, overall his skill is average to below average. In my opinion, he has no chance of a draft, but his father is Tomas Kopecky, he was NHL player and that is why he is pushed to the national team in Slovakia.. Personally, I have nothing against him, but he really isn't a player for the draft. I think his career ceiling is the Slovak league, from what I saw.
However, today I would add another Slovak name, overager Maros Jedlicka. He made a really big progress compared to last season, I would wait for the WJC in December, he can really show up there. He dominates the Slovak Men's League, really excellent productivity for his age. Very hard working player, i like his energy on both sides. Dynamic skater, he shows some two-way potential, makes decisions quickly, but sometimes rushes more than needed. For now I have no idea from what position he could go, maybe anywhere from 4th to 7th round.

He's not very well known, at least for now. Basically, with his two-way playstyle, he really showed up in Hlinka - Gretzky cup. A tough player, concentrates on the defensive side, but has shown several times that he also has potential in the offensive side, similar typologically to Erik Cernak and the WHL league fits him really well. Definitely an interesting player and he is probably the only Slovak player at the moment who has a chance to draft and you don't have it in your list.

Wow. Really good job. As a Slovak, I was surprised from the Slovak point of view that you don't have Jozef Viliam Kmec among the 255 players. To this day, he certainly has a better chance of drafting than David Natny, whom you have there. However, it is still just the beginning of the season.

Top 15 Slovak prospects for the 2022/2023
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Playersoverpayed</b></div><div>Their version of NTDP program is paying off. Personally I think Nemec shoukld go to a stronger league this season. Troll alert: would he like to avoid ARI and BUF ;) ? Slafkovsky is work in progress. Star power-forward potential there, but he hasn't realized yet how big and strong he actually is.</div></div>
I also think that for Simon Nemec would be the best possibility to move to a better league. But from what I know, he wants to stay in Slovakia this season.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Claesson4Norris</b></div><div>It's a bit like the 2020 draft was for Germany. German Hockey has really invested a lot into its internal talent development, and specifically invested in keeping the German talent in Germany, and not playing in the CHL or in Sweden Juniors. They've really raised their standing in international hockey, to the point where they've cemented themselves into that 3rd tier of hockey nations like the Czechs and Slovaks, and separated themselves from the Swiss and Latvians and other "lesser" programs.
Slovakia has seen that same reinvestment into Slovakian hockey, and I think 2022 is set to be that real coming put party for the program. It wouldn't be at all surprising to see a Slovakian Renaissance in the 2020s similar to what Finland has done in the last decade or so. I wouldn't be shocked if we're talking about them in the same conversation as nations like Sweden and Russia as that strong 2nd tier of hockey nations. It would be awesome to see them return to the greatness of the mid 2000s when it was guys like Hossa, Chara, Bondra, Visnovsky, Satan and Straka.</div></div>
It will be necessary to have more than just 2 such good years (2022, 2023) in order for Slovakia to become one of the top hockey countries again. We will see. Hopefully it will continue for next years. Hockey needs competition and as many countries as possible at a high level. But today I can say that for draft 2024 there is another top Slovak, the defender Jakub Chromiak (Martin's brother), who may have a similar potential as Simon Nemec, although it is still too early for similar comparisons.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>This is very cool to see them all lined up like this.
I wish someone would do for other countries as well.</div></div>

You're probably right. But I also feel that in the future Dvorsky could have a better impact for the game. But both, even together with Slafkovsky, are definitely the best Slovak prospects not in one, but in two decades.

I agree. Wright will probably be # 1. But he hasn't played a match this season. There is a risk for anyone with missing such a significant amount of games. You can’t replicate game action with training. On the contrary, Lambert played a complete season among men in Finland. Wright could try the USHL, like Savoie, or a European league. He decided to do something different. It could very well work out and he might have improved, but we don't know yet. Hopefully he gets back in games soon, and we can see how his game has developed in the last year.

It would be interesting to return here in 4 years, before the draft, as this ranking would be accurate. Honestly, I didn't have a chance to see anyone from this ranking, but I saw Samuel Misak and a few other Slovaks. Samuel Misak is really good, but I don't know if he will really be the first round player. In my opinion, Tomas Pobezal currently has a better chance for the first round, but also not very big.
