Calgary wish list
There is no way, in any universe or dimension, that Dallas gives up Robertson, Hintz, AND a first for Tkachuk

One Trade And An Offer Sheet
If Robo signed for 8 yrs at $7.25M, he’d be doing Dallas a massive favor

22-23 Oct Stars
Otter isn’t signing an 8 yr deal for $4.5M. He might sign that for 5, but definitely not 8. We’d have to throw at the very least $7M in front of him for an 8 yr deal.

Setting up for the Future While Being Competitive
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>justaBoss</b></div><div>I'd want more for Guri. Also don't see much reason in placing Benn to 4th line. He still had an almost 50 point year last year.</div></div>
I’m fine with the 3rd line being Benn-Dellandrea-Namestnikov and slotting in Karlstrom as 4th C. But I think if we want to be different next year, trading Guri for an affordable two-way D man and making a splashy FA signing that will bring tons of points is the way to go.

Keeping It In The Family
If Otter signs an 8 year deal, he’s definitely signing for more than that. I think he’s probably signing a deal somewhere between Demko or Shesterkin‘s deal (5yrs/$5-6M AAV). And Roope is not signing for $6.5M AAV. He’s minimum gonna be around $8M.

Burns and Benn Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FunMustBeAlways</b></div><div>Yeah it would be tough to convince Benn to leave. Does he have a full NMC?</div></div>
Yeah Benn is a full NMC. But I wouldn’t be so certain as to say he 100% would never leave Dallas. He obviously would be difficult to convince to waive the NMC, but I don’t think that’s an impossible feat.

Burns and Benn Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rob32sjsharks</b></div><div>Really feel a 1 for 1 would be enough Burns for Ben. helps both teams and doesn't hurt either team much.</div></div>
I think Burns is probably the better of the two. I probably put a little too much draft compensation in there, but I still think Dallas pays something to San Jose as long as they don't retain any of Benn's salary.

Nylander
I mean if that somehow got Nylander, cool. I'd use that remaining cap space to get Raffl back too. More veteran presence to help all the young guys and he's been a good fit for the Stars this year. But yeah... Probably comes up short on Nylander.

Taking a Swing
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ItWasIn</b></div><div>I think Dallas really needs to explore a Jamie Benn deal.
I would look at Brent Burns, if the rumours that SJ would move him are true. I think Dallas would need to incentivize SJ slightly into taking Benn. But, if SJ is going to move Burns, they'll need to take back money. Benn and Burns both have the same term.
DAL may have to add though as Burns is more valuable at this point than Benn, despite being older. Fills Klingberg's departure as well</div></div>
I thought about Burns, but I didn't think Benn would waive the NMC for SJ. I think that would be a good move if Benn did decide to do that though. The key to the Stars getting better is Benn or Seguin getting moved, but there's no way anyone is taking Seguin's deal.
