Bruins 2019-20
@shmoeman how are you going to resign McAvoy and Carlo? You have 7M in cap space. Krug is also a FA after this season and will likely want to be paid 6.5++. With DeBrusk a RFA after this year, the Bruins likely won't be able to keep Krug. I also wouldn't consider Rasmussen a prospect at this point. He's already played a full season in the NHL. He's 20 years old with size and speed. Something that would work perfectly with Krejci and DeBrusk. I get you'd want someone with more experience but those guys are making 3M++. That wouldn't give you a large enough cushion to resign both Carlo and McAvoy.

Maybe change it to a 2nd round pick but you're getting a 20 year old right winger who would provide excellent size (6'6") and speed to the 2nd line. He was also drafted 9th overall in 2017. It's definitely a risk but I think in there's a big reward.
For Krug, I don't see the Bruins being able to afford him after this year. Getting value for him is worth it at this time in order to resign Carlo and McAvoy.

Bruins 2018-19 Projected Team
The most difficult position to pick was the 3rd line Center spot. Given Riley Nash's season, I don't expect him back in Boston. He's going to get paid and the Bruins should avoid the contract even though he's a great 3rd liner because they have in-house options. I think the 3rd line center spot will come down to JFK, Donato and Heinen. Given Heinen has the most NHL experience, I feel he'll get a shot at it. Even though he's not a natural center, he's smart enough to make the transition. I also have Bjork on the 2nd line. If he comes back healthy, he has the skill to play there. It also allows Donato to get use to the grind of the NHL season on the 3rd line.
For defense, I think Miller will get the nod over McQuaid. Since its McQuaid's final contract season, I wouldn't be surprised if the Bruins moved him for a late round pick. Given the Bruins injury history on defense the past two years, it'd be wise to keep him.
The goaltending duo should remain the same. Khudo receives a slight increase in pay given his strong season. This will allow the Bruins to rest Rask like they did this year.
With a little under 4M in cap left, I don't see the Bruins making any big moves especially with Carlo and McAvoy becoming RFA's after this upcoming season. The extra 4M will also allow them to make a trade deadline move if needed.
