Searching for a 2 line center
Not bad because getting Roslovic would be fun, but is Perreault an improvement over Dubinsky at 2/3C? I would argue not, so not sure it makes sense.

I have to agree, I would consider Murray and Jenner (yay cap space), but not three with Carlsson

I don't think Bjorkstrand is an automatic non-starter, but actually do lean towards not wanting to trade him. If I'm actually looking at making this trade, I'm probably giving it to the deadline to get a more extended look at Bjorkstrand. To be honest, Sakic is probably thinking the same thing from the other side.
I'd also rather trade a LW than a RW (than we shouldn't need to throw money at Stafford/Jagr/or other).

Bluejackets all rumours
I am totally against the rumored Bonino interest. Yes, he is good but we don't need another 3C and don't need to spend the millions that it would take. We need a 1/2C

I don't think that Colorado quite takes that, may need some picks, otherwise I do like it. Note: I don't think Duchene is worth what they are actually (supposedly) asking for though . . .

I do not disagree, however I just don't understand signing him for a solution at wing other than it is a low cost flier. If we're gonna try a winger in the top 6 that is not Bjork, I say we throw Milano in there. Granted if they aren't quite ready, I guess we have a cheap backup plan now.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>billcriddle</b></div><div><i>Pardon the inquiry, but if he can't finish, and he can't take a faceoff, and he can't enter the zone all that well, and he isn't a shut down center, how can you say he's extremely talented?</i></div></div>

I don't think we should really be actively chasing Bostons 2nd (possibly 3rd) best center at 30 years of age as our solution for a 1C.

Then put in Nestrasil, I don't care. I just meant to show that I feel Carolina is best set up to take Hartnell in a trade after AZs and WPGs recent actions. Personally, I'd keep Hartsy unless some kids really show up in camp and the first half.

A. I'd be OK keeping him, hence the "if we have to."
B. In a world where McGinn is worth 3.3 for the same term and Perrault is worth 4.25 with an EXTRA year, Hartnell should be trade able to some degree.

My main driver is that I'm not too high on Lindholm, if Carolina is I wouldn't be adverse to not sending him in return. Cody has decent bottom pairing potential but admittedly nothing to get excited for.

Eberle
IMO . . . We don't really need a RW, we don't need a 3rd line C/W. I would like to see Bjork and/or Anderson get a chance. Left wing isn't a huge priority, Sonny could get a look at 2C with Calvert on the third . . . that is if we were to trade away Hartnell. I'm not sure how much sense buying out Clarkson makes on the ledger. Wouldn't mind having Schenn but I'd rather pay 1/4 the price to play Werenski or Kukan.
Where is Wennberg? GC better not be out third line center.

Not sticking up for it, but only thing maybe . . . Brown's contract might be more "buy outable" due to the way that Clarkson's is structured?

Looooooooooooooooove it . . . Seems pretty close to fair, or at least the framework could be there IF NJD is willing to take Clarksy. Then if we Tyson Jost at 11 (right about where he is trending) . . . I would be over the moon.

They are contracts that we would want to move. They are maaaaaaaaaaaybe top 13 forwards . . . Boll is a buyout candidate. Campbell is worth a fourth line role.

I kind of see the idea of using Murray to get rid of some contracts, but then we are retaining almost four million dollars anyway . . . might as well just buy Tyutin out. Plus mortgaging a good young D and getting the 4 pick, I don't like it. I don't love what I perceive as the value of a four pick. Between Jost, Brown, Keller . . . Dubois?) A great center prospect could be available through pick 10 or maybe even lower.

Let me try to make this deal work.
MacKinnon for Jenner + Johnson + 3rd round pick
Compher + 10 overall pick for Rychel and the 3rd overall??
Idunno, that's the best I can think of right now.</i></div></div>
From a CBJ fan perspective. I have Jenner as near untouchable, and the chance at hitting on Compher isn't really worth losing the chance on hitting with the Fin (especially if getting MacKinnon for the center position (and having the chance to draft Logan Brown or Tyson Jost at number 10. Yet, I think your trade is very fair, I just personally don't like it. Getting rid of a Johnson's NTC before expansion and two tough salaries (JJ and Hartsy) is a big positive.
