Description
Gagne is not a finisher, struggles in the dot, and wouldn't be considered top line or shut down soooooooooo? 2nd line with Boone taking the draws? I guess Wennberg doesn't dominate the face-off circle either though . . .

Gagner is extremely talented, but is not reliable defensively and often attempts zone entries indiscriminately, so I think a spot on the wing suits him better. Plus, he is not a finisher, so he needs quality line mates. A second line of Foligno - Jenner - Gagner would be great IMO

Pardon the inquiry, but if he can't finish, and he can't take a faceoff, and he can't enter the zone all that well, and he isn't a shut down center, how can you say he's extremely talented?

I do not disagree, however I just don't understand signing him for a solution at wing other than it is a low cost flier. If we're gonna try a winger in the top 6 that is not Bjork, I say we throw Milano in there. Granted if they aren't quite ready, I guess we have a cheap backup plan now.

Gagner is earning 600K. For that price, he's a steal. He's extremely talented because of his soft hands, poise, decision making once in the OZ, passing, skating... He does a lot of things great, but he can't do a few things a center should. That's what I meant. I agree that Milano and Bjork (specially Bjork) should get opportunities, but there are injuries, Gagner can be scratched, there can be a trade (Hartnell maybe...).
